First off, it's no surprise there are so many negative reviews, several having to do with ownership specifically. If there was a way to give negative stars I wish I could as to represent the negative outcome this location and specifically the owner Muhhamed provided.
Long story short, my wife ordered a smoothie online in which I went a mere 15 minutes later to pickup. I walked in and said I was there to pick up a smoothie and provided both my and my wifes first/last name. A female associate said she hadn't recieved or made any pickup orders. She then asked the other female associate who also said she hadn't recieved or made any pickup orders. Being that it was so close to their closing time, I thought maybe the order was canceled so I made the decision to order and leave with 2 smoothies I figured my wife would like. When I got home, my wife said the order was not canceled and she was still debited for the smoothie she ordered online. I called the next day to get refunded and after a back and forth from corporate to the Westmont store on who would be responsible, it was determined Muhhamed, the owner, would be the one responsible for issuing the refund.
And this is when this interaction goes from bad to worse. Obviously not wanting to issue a refund or simply not believing me, Muhhamed stated he would "need to do an investigation" on the matter!!! Are you kidding?!?! An investigation?!?! Like a criminal?!?! But knowing this was cut and dry, black and white - I let him do his "investigation." He called back later that same day and said per his investigation, he determined the smoothie WAS made, it WAS sitting in the freezer, and that I never came to pick it up so that he WOULD NOT be issuing us a refund!
If I never came to pick it up, how did I know it was 2 younger females working that night? If I never came to pick it up, how did I end up with 2 smoothies in my hand? Why would I even buy 2 smoothies if I didn't come to pick up an order THAT WAS ALREADY PAID FOR in the first place. His logic is completely flawed and his customer service skills are completely absent. Somehow it is my fault that his employees told me there was no pickup order at all for anyone at that time. Read moreI love smoothie king, but avoid this smoothie king at all costs! Bathroom is disgusting - hairs everywhere, dirt everywhere, brown splashes on toilet seat, pee all over floor by urinal. (Wish I took pics) Not only that but they have no clue how to make a smoothie or bowl. This is the 3rd problem my family has had and all at this location never anywhere else. Don’t know how to make an açaí bowl with the specified ingredients and today the girl made my smoothie so thick I couldn’t even drink it. Every sip was chewing ice. I asked for a refund and she said she would try to remake it first. The 2nd time tasted more awful and was the consistency of an iced tea. She mentioned she hadn’t made the type of smoothie that I ordered in months. I asked for a refund and 10-15 minutes later I finally was given one after them telling me they don’t know how to give a refund. So, word of advice…train your employees to make ALL the smoothies on the menu otherwise don’t advertise a smoothie that your store cannot make. Weird part is there were 2 other employees - why didn’t one of them try to make it since the girl didn’t know how? Again, worst smoothie king out...
Read moreNormally I have no problems with this location however this time i did. A lady in front of me had been waiting quite a while for her two fruit bowls and they put the wrong ingredients. The employee did offer to remake but after waiting 10 plus minutes the lady just took it and left. A little bit later my name was called and I had ordered a plain strawberry smoothie with nothing added. I take a sip on the way out and at first I thought my tastebuds were adjusting cause it tasted off. As im driving home I realized banana was thrown in. Now i have no food allergy to bananas but it still reckless and after paying that much for one thats bare minimum one fruit that really shouldn’t happen.
