Agave's Mexican Restaurant Westmoreland — Restaurant in Westmoreland

We arrived at Agave at 8:50 p.m. which is late for us eating but after a busy Saturday afternoon we were ready for a bite to eat and when my wife said Mexican I headed to Agave. Eating late on a Saturday night can be a cautionary tale if you know what l mean but not in this case. We were greeted with a smile, seated and waited on by the staff as if we were the first customers of the day rather than the last. Our orders for a fajita taco salad & fajitas quasadia came to the table shortly after placing our orders.. They were warm and freshly prepared. Our food was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Our drinks were then refilled and we were left to enjoy our food and conversation together ❤️. Additionally, this Mexican restaurant stands out among most all others in that there are not wall-to-wall televisions around the dining room playing soccer matches that in my experience usually appears to interest entertain & in some cases distract the staff. First time here. We walk in and it is a large restaurant with two sections. No one is in the first section you walk into but there are several employees in the back section with the bar. We are waiting to be seated but no one comes to greet us. From the back section three employees emerge and stare at us. I walk towards them and one finally comes up and seats us. I'm guessing that this is a come in and sit where you want to restaurant. Not the typical Mexican restaurant. After that uncomfortable situation everything was great. Our server was fantastic and the food was amazing. I gave four stars only for the weird encounter in the beginning. If you come here... Seat yourself. Find a table you like and grab it. They don't take you to a table like all the other Mexican Restaurants I have been to. If you seat yourself, though, you will not be disappointed in the food they serve! I absolutely LOVE Agave's!! They have the best taco salads in Westmoreland. I've tried all of them at this location, and where their competitor down the road has extremely soggy salads and what seems like everything is swimming in the shell, Agave's doesn't. It's pure perfection to me. Everything is cooked and drained properly, and the plating of it just makes your mouth water! Their other food is just as great, too.
