My daughter in law just got a double Smashburger to go for me. Smash burger was okay but can’t eat too many of these too often. Very greasy, top and bottom bun was completely soaked with grease but that’s what makes it taste good I suppose. For me eating these too often at my age is like a heart attack waiting to happen. All in all it was okay, but not worth the money in my opinion. The Habit Burger Grill is still my favorite though, for $12 I get a double charburger with fries and a drink with free refills and I’m stuffed afterwards. The patties at the Habit are probably almost double the size, that’s why it’s more filling to me. Plus the Habit patties are grilled, not cooked on a flattop so they’re not greasy. I’d have to eat at least 2 or 3 of these Smashburgers to get full, but to pay for 2 or 3 would be crazy. That would be $18 for 2 or $27 for 3 At least I got to try it to see what all the hype was about this place. This may be a good burger for some, but for me The Habit Burger Grill will still be my No. 1 go to place for a burger.
Management didn’t like my review Date of visit: February 2024 Helpful? MANAGEMENT RESPONSE: Gracious Food, Owner at Eighty Twenty Food, responded to this review Feb 20, 2024 Hi, you are definitely talking about some other business not Eighty/Twenty Food. We don't even have a fryer for cooking or a greasy burger.
To management: Are you implying that I don’t know where this so called burger came from?? My daughter in law was there with her cousin eating dinner, I asked them to bring me home a double Smashburger. They ordered it together with a couple of Churros for themselves to go. Where do you see in my review any thing about a fryer, you guys cook it on a flat top which was probably full of grease when you put it on the bun which absorbed all that grease. I really should have taken a picture of it, my bad. And if you don’t have a fryer, how do you cook your fries, onion rings and ripper hotdogs??? Don’t tell me in a microwave. I guess you just don’t like to hear any negative reviews, but this is my opinion and not necessarily anybody else. And I forgot to mention that my daughter in law was told that I couldn’t get Vidalia onions without the Mandee sauce. Why not, aren’t they separate items? I didn’t want the Mandee sauce in case it had mustard in it but they couldn’t tell her if it had or not, but continued to tell her that you can’t get the onions without getting the Mandee sauce. I will not be ordering or dining her in the future, but I know you don’t care as you have many followers that swear by your food. But again, reviews are personal opinions and this is mine. So don’t tell me I must be talking about...
Read moreOverall, would recommend to a friend for good food and service but just be wary of what time you arrive!
It’s located INSIDE the B&S store!
Arrived on a Saturday night at 6:40 pm and was told it would be a 45 min wait for our burgers. We didn’t mind because we weren’t in a rush to be anywhere.
The cashier Sean was kind and friendly. He explained that the size of their sandwiches were in between the size of a burger and slider.
We got two Doubles, a Spicy Glizzy, a side of onion rings, fries, and two drinks for about $45. Not bad!
The Doubles were really good! A tad heavy on the salt but I didn’t need to add ketchup or dip it in the Mandy sauce at all! Recommend.
Best onion rings I ever had!!
They should put “curly fries” in large font on the menu instead of “fries.” I expected regular fries but was excited when I saw they were curly!
Spicy Glizzy was solid but hot dogs in general aren’t really my thing.
They said you can place an order online to avoid a wait. And there’s usually a line when they first open! So either arrive early (way before 6) or after the opening rush dies down (maybe 8pm?).
Thanks and...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. This burger was the best I’ve had so far. I got the double which is what I’d recommend. Juicy and cheesy this burger fell apart in my hands. The taste was a 10/10 and while it’s not especially unique it does a classic cheese burger perfectly which is arguably more impressive. While I’ve never had a true smash burger before and was hoping for more crispness the taste of meat, cheese, onions and the sweet bun was immaculate. The dude working there was super nice and was happy to talk at no end about burgers and food. PS make sure to put on the perfectly thin sliced pickles they are awesome and are the perfect addition to the burger. I put a 4 for atmosphere because it was pretty empty but honestly that’s not deserved at all this place was worth a 40m drive and I’m probably gonna go back pretty soon for another one soon. Also it’s open 6-10 on weekends if you’re confused about...
