Wow, what a disappointment! Looked forward to going here as it just opened and thought I might find something to go with my Starbucks drink. We were "greeted" by a sour-looking person who doesn't realize you should smile at customers when they enter. Got even more sour looking when I asked if they could heat up the ham/cheese croissant I was purchasing. I was told "it would take time" , like didn't want to be bothered to do it. I wasn't in a rush. Five minutes later I got the croissant only to bite into it and have it be ice cold in the middle. So basically $17 for a cold croissant and an apple croissant. For authentic French bakery experience, you're better off going to Hillsdale down the road! Btw - you'd never find doughnuts in a real boulangerie - don't care how fancy you make them! My first visit yesterday was truly impressive. The variety of French bread, pastries and desserts looked incredibly fresh and delicious. I tried the Pistachio New York Roll, Canelé, and Nutella Donut with a cappuccino. They had an excellent taste you'd find in France itself. The donut was exceptional, the rich, creamy filling and its texture were incomparable to any others, with a deeply satisfying savories. I went in the morning, and the donuts were almost sold out! They mentioned they usually sell out by 2 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. I also noticed the breakfast croissant sandwiches and avocado toast, which looked great. When I first got into the store, I was greeted by a great staff with a warm and welcoming greeting. When I first looked up at the food I was overwhelmed by all the great options! From doughnuts to tarts to cakes, they have it! Wow! I ordered my croissant and matcha latte in a line with no wait. I received my order in under 5 minutes. Little did I know that I would find the secret gem of Bergen County! The croissant tasted like perfection and my matcha latte was warm and calming.
