Bop N Sushi — Restaurant in Westwood

Don't let the generic name fool you, Bop & Sushi serves up some of the most authentic and fresh sushi on this side of the Hudson.

In addition to their fantastic food, Bop & Sushi also has some of the best service for an Asian restaurant (I know it's not saying much, but their service really IS phenomenal). Miss Kim, the owner/restaurant manager (?) runs this place like nobody's business. She's constantly moving from table to table to make sure your glasses are full, drinks are poured and food delicious.

During my trip here, we were offered free appetizers along with complementary soju and sake. As our sake was heating, Miss Kim made us lemon drops!! This place is BYOB, so feel free to bring a 6-pack or more (avoid wine, cause sushi + wine just don't go together).

Anyways, despite the Americanized name, this place has some extremely high quality nigiri and sushi. Unless you really like sushi rolls, you should stick to ordering a la carte. Do keep in mind though, that due to the freshness of their sushi, the prices are going to be semi-steep. 8-10 pieces ordered a la carte could easily run $30+/person.

Fantastic Lunch at Bop N Sushi – A Must-Try in Westwood!

We stopped by Bop N Sushi in Westwood, NJ for a weekend lunch, and everything about the experience was outstanding. Not only was the service friendly and attentive, but the food truly impressed us.

We ordered the B&S Brunch-A Set, which was an excellent value and came with a beautiful variety of dishes. I had mine with chicken, which was juicy, flavorful, and grilled just right. My wife chose the LA galbi, and it was absolutely delicious—tender, smoky, and rich with that perfect Korean BBQ flavor.

Our kid had the bulgogi udon, and it was another hit. The broth was rich and comforting, and the beef was savory and well-marinated—he practically finished the whole bowl on his own!

But what really blew us away was the sushi and rolls—they were amazing. Incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every bite felt like it was made with care and high-quality ingredients. The sushi rice had just the right texture and seasoning, and the fish was melt-in-your-mouth good.

Between the satisfying brunch sets and the standout sushi, Bop N Sushi has definitely become one of our new favorite spots. We can’t wait to come back and try even more...

Hands down one of the best restaurants for Bibimbap, Bulgogi and Sushi! We’ve tried 5 kinds sushis and chicken and beef bibimbap, and chicken bulgogi and all of them were exceptionally good. We’ve got two sushi takeouts and they were packed neatly without any risk of spilling soy sauce. My sis and bro-in-law are bibimbap experts as they try different restaurants, and they said this is by far their most favorite place! What more! Their prices are unbelievably reasonable in this post-Covid period. We will definitely recommend our friends and families to visit them because of their price (please don’t change your prices) and the quality of food.
