We went here on a busy night for my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a reservation. The hostess brought this to the attention of the owner. To our surprise, a table was specially set up just for us. The staff and management are just as amazing as the food. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection not overly sauced or spiced. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Penne ala Ganita and Veal Milanese Blackened Swordfish on a bed of spinach with Mango chutney

Our family celebrated Mother’s Day here. We were happy that there was a special Mother’s Day menu and it was not a prefix menu. The service was very good even though busy and the food was good as well. Little BYOB that I would definitely return to. They were very accommodating to our young children, the only downside is the one bathroom per gender on a busy day like Mother’s Day. You often had to wait.

I really enjoy this restaurant! My husband and I moved to Westwood about two years ago and dine at Granita Grill about once every other week! The service is always friendly and attentive. The food is consistently great! I especially love the cavatelli con broccoli (it used to be on the menu, but they still make it for me every time!). Their pasta is homemade and really fantastic. Each entree is served with salad and they give you delicious pizza bread with a tangy dipping sauce. For the price, & experience... you can't beat the value! There is always a lively buzz when the restaurant is full. It's not stuffy and quiet, but still intimate. The owner is present and it's good to know as a patron that you're supporting a local mom & pop. I highly recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night, where you can enjoy live music by a talented guitarist. He was so great that we bought his CD! They do take reservations, but we often go there without and gladly wait 10-15 minutes. The wait reassures us that this neighborhood gem isn't going away...

We had been here before and enjoyed it so we brought friends by to try it. Food and Service was very good we purchased 4 appetizers 6 entrees 4 desserts with coffee. Everything came out cooked perfectly and served well. Our only issue Is we were enjoying our coffee and dessert and suddenly the bill got plunked down in front of us and they started clearing our unfinishedesserts from the table . My friend was gulping down her coffee on the way out . I understand if they needed the table and we were sitting around sipping our bottles of wine but it was actually the dessert that they had just served us with hot coffee that they were clearing from the table . This unfortunately put a bit of a damper on the evening and was a bit of an embarrassment for us as we we're bringing our friends to a new spot that we enjoyed instead of our regular spot in Closter. We would come here again but I would appreciate if you need the table to give me a bit of a heads up and do it with a bit more professionalism and not touch my food while...

Really solidly mediocre food. The service was good and the staff were all very friendly but the food was just not very good at all. We had chicken Marsala and chicken piccata, and both were just so…boring. The sauces had almost no interesting flavor. Each meal also came with a few steamed, otherwise unspiced vegetables in a cute little bundle. They also each had a little house salad beforehand that was way over saturated with dressing and quite wilty. Even the bread we got before the meal was just…boring, and I was unimpressed with how few vegetables we got…and a side of more vegetables would’ve been $10! For the cheapest part of the meal!

Overall for the price the food was just really not good. This meal would’ve been worth $5-$10, not the $50 we paid. All of the food tasted like it was frozen food that got reheated, not sure if that’s the case. I know they have live music on weekends that’s pretty good, I’d have to imagine that’s their...
