I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday. I used to go to the Queens location when I lived there and always really enjoyed it. This was my first time going to this location and it was really good. I have to agree with the other reviews in that the staff is not very friendly, but they are quick just don't expect them to talk to you. At all. lol The sushi was fantastic, great variety and the presentation is fabulous. It is BYOB and I think all they serve is water. Which is actually kind of nice. We did not know that going in but we saw plenty of other diners that brought their own beer, wine and liquor. It was actually pretty cool. Anyway, when we got there it wasn't crowded but as we were finishing up it was beginning to get busy and the tables are kind of close together almost like an NYC restaurant. If you are looking for something private and low key, this may not be the ideal spot. BUT if you are looking for a fantastic sushi buffet that is fresh and delicious this is perfect. The other items on the menu are great as well. The teriyaki, tempura, seaweed salad, calamari, everything was so good. We will FOR sure be going back again. The ambiance is nice as well. Very clean and classy. I could totally see having a company party or something there. If you have a group of more than like 4 people and you are going at a prime time, I would call before hand just to make sure they can accommodate you. There are some booths, but most of the other tables are smaller and would need to be connected for a large group. Definitely worth checking out. Set your expectations on the food, not on super...

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for years, and always had a great experience. This time however, not at all. It was the day after a snow storm, and I called to make sure that they were open before we drove all the way there; and the guy said "yeah" and that was it. Well, we get there and the power is out, and the guy did not tell me that on the phone. The waitresses literally stand like they are in a military line and watch your every move (which was really uncomfortable being that I was shoving sushi in my mouth). This is where it get's bad; We go to pay and I hand the girl my card, and she said that they were only taking cash because of the power outage......WHY DID YOU NOT SAY THAT BEFORE WE SAT DOWN. WHO CARRIES 50 BUCKS OR MORE OF CASH ON THEIR PERSON ANYMORE? ITS 2018, THERE ARE A LOT OF OTHER WAYS TO TAKE CARD. Then the lady suggested we give the cash that we have, and leave my card information for her to put in the system once their power came back...UH NO. So, my mom had to run to TD bank and grab cash. She comes back and they are literally kicking us out of the restaurant (even though my mom was still eating) saying that they are closed...MEANWHILE it's 2 PM and they don't close till 3. Overall, terrible and no apology either. No communication and horrible service; such a shame because the food is great (that's why they get 2 stars). Sadly, lost faithful long time customers, never again...

Excellent sushi place. I love going there. The house salad is great with the almost perfect amount of dressing and the overall good is delicious. That being said however their portions can be small. The chicken teriyaki is on a small plate and there really isn't much. Also, even though I can eat a lot, (I can eat 3 orders of sushi, sashimi, and rolls,) when me and my girlfriend go and I order that and what she wants, they never give the full order. While that is probably so they don't risk throwing anything away, it's annoying because I always have to order what they didn't bring after we eat and they charge people for not finishing anyways so why not just bring what we ordered. Also the shrimp tempura never has enough sauce, but that is probably just my personal feeling because I love to just have every bite with it because it's so good. Also while the food is great I wouldn't really recommend it for a first date because it can be very loud their and it's hard to even hear the person across from you over the noise. Overall I love this place and go there whenever I can because of how good the food is for the price and because it's not some cheap all you can eat place. And I would give it 5 stars on the food alone however all those small...

We've been coming here for years, but I was very disappointed during our visit today. The white tuna sashimi definitely had an off smell and the pieces that were different colors had the worst odor. When I brought it to the waitresses attention, she just nodded and took the plate away but didn't say anything to anyone else. When we got our second platter of food, the salmon sashimi also had a funky smell, unsure if it was because it was stored next to the white tuna or not. Sadly, we wound up not being able to eat a bunch of the meal because of this. My whole family absolutely loves sushi but we cannot take a chance eating raw fish that is bad. Not sure if I will be coming back here after this experience....

I have seriously been to Sushi Village more times than I can count. Their sushi buffet is a great deal for an unlimited amount of not just sushi but dishes from their kitchen as well. The food is definitely not the highest quality sushi you can find in the area, it is certainly the highest quantity you can get for the price. However, someone I've gone with to eat here has fallen sick once or twice, and a few of my friends report falling sick here as well. I haven't gotten sick yet, and this is my favorite sushi buffet, so I guess I'm going to keep returning to this place until I do.

Just an overall terrible experience. Service is nonexistent (not shown to our table, not greeted, barely even a hello or how is everything). Self serve as there is everything left in a pile at the table and paper for you to fill out and hand in. Food and sushi is absolutely disgusting and posted picture of it. There is no artistry, no pride and I've had better from the local market and gas station. Super fishy and not fresh at all. Even the ginger was a lower grade. Avoid at all costs. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. All for $60.
