Moon Magic — Local services in Hillsdale

I have had a few positive experiences at Moon Magic since I moved to the area and I am so grateful that I am local to it. I did the Yin Yoga/Nidra class with Kyle and it was very peaceful, I felt very supported by the teacher and the setting. I've done a couple of very relaxing massages/reiki sessions with Karen, the owner and enjoyed them very much. I also had a great experience at the Full Moon Drumming Restorative session with Debbie. Karen recently did a great event at the Westwood Community Center bringing together spiritual healers and vendors and it was a really nice community gathering with opportunities to experience the work of the healers and shop for related items. The Moon Magic location in Hillsdale is curated with such special spiritual items and it is a peaceful inspiring space for browsing and shopping and also to attend an event. (I write reviews only when I'm inspired) I've known Karen for several years - she is a talented. I see her for Reiki healing sessions (intuitive and amazing). Moon Magic workshops, meditation/healing circles and the outside speaker presentations are well organized, informative, and loaded with a sense of connection. I've also enrolled in Moon Magic online classes and find it easy to engage, and inclusive with consistent communication, (as a professor for 20y, this is a well-qualified statement.) Most importantly, I feel grounded and energized when I leave the space - the warm and loving kindness regardless of the medium is powerful. I usually get something special in the shop for someone I want to share that with. My only critical comment is MM should move closer to me - I am almost an hour away. Yesterday was my first session with Karen thanks to a recommendation from a good friend. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as this is all new to me, but wanted to give it a try. I’ve been dealing with depression and anxiety for years now, and was very nervous/anxious before my session - I thought about changing my appointment, but I am SO SO glad that I didn’t! From the moment I walked through the door, I felt a sense of warmth and comfort. I was in a safe space. And to say that I feel “lighter” today, like a weight has been lifted off of me, is an understatement. There were some tears, deep breaths and lots of smiles…. and holy relief! It’s like the negative energy was taken out of me. Karen said I might feel this rebalancing of energy, and I’m here to say that I already do! Thank you Karen. I’m really looking forward to our next...
