The Donut Station — Restaurant in Wethersfield

I’m from the shoreline of CT. There are many great little bakeries/donut shops. I moved to Glastonbury 2 years ago and still hadn’t found a good breakfast spot-until today! I mentioned to my boyfriend I was craving a donut, which is a rarity for me. He found The Donut Station of Wethersfield, and WOW. Everything was so good. We got 2 breakfast sandwiches; one on a croissant with the addition of a hash brown, and one on a bagel. We also each got a donut. I also grabbed a cherry/cheese danish, along with a large hot coffee.

The sandwiches were cooked perfectly and had the perfect ratio of filling to croissant. The donuts and danish were fresh and flavorful. The coffee was hot, sweetened perfectly, and they even offer different milk/cream substitutes. The staff was friendly and patient as we figured out what we wanted, as it was our first time.

Furthermore, the establishment itself was clean, well maintained and cozy. It’s also much appreciated that they’re open well into the late afternoon.

This is definitely our new favorite weekend breakfast...

I've been itching for this place to open for months now, and the day has finally come. Folks, this was well worth the wait.

The interior is cozy and warm and the kind people running the place were great people. I saw the place where the magic happens - a kitchen full of baking equipment and freshly baked donuts.

The variety is incredible, with a great selection of cake, filled, and yeast donuts. The glazed, the acid test for any sort of donut shop, is easily one of the best I've had. Everything tastes and looks fresh. The coffee isn't bad either.

The next trip will be a sampling of the bagels and breakfast sandwiches, which I'm sure will be just as good as expected. At under $20 for a dozen donuts and two medium coffees, you cannot beat the price.

Would have loved to tell you how the donuts are but didn’t get any. Went in today for the first time and received the worst service trying to to get 6 donuts and a latte. Nobody else was in the shop purchasing. The two young guys working couldn’t get it get together and actually put 6 donuts in a box for me. They kept telling me the donuts I picked would cost more. I said I didn’t care I just want six donuts and again couldn’t get them. These two were complete idiots. Also I had to request my large Carmel latte for the third time after one of the guys had to ask again what I wanted to drink. After much disgust I gave up and walked out!! Not one donut I asked for was ever put in a box and my latte was never started. I’ve lived in Wethersfield for 42 years and never have seen a business run so terrible.
