San Marcos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Wetumpka

I’ve been a customer of San Marcos for years. Just had lunch and both my husband and myself ordered steak quesadillas. They came out with 2-3 pieces of steak on them. We complained and were told we’d get a discount because of the poor quality of the meal. We got to the register and the “manager” on duty told us that we had been asked multiple times about our meal and never said we had an issue. This was actually not the case. The waiter never came back to the table until we asked for our check at which time we told him that there was no steak in our quesadillas. She told us that she checked with the kitchen and they claimed that the quesadillas had the same amount they always do because it’s premeasured. I know that’s not the case because I have eaten several times and ordered the same thing. She had a very poor attitude and did nothing to resolve the situation. We had the misfortune of being seated at a table of a server that VERY MUCH DISLIKED CHILDREN We were ignored while others seated after us were served and eating before our order was taken. we waited one hour before our meals were brought to the table. as we waited leaving tables stoped by to speak to the children and commented on how well behaved they all were we had 5 with us As we were leaving the person at the cash out informed us that it was actually her fault we were treated so rudely that she sat us with a server that had told her she did not want us at her table -- that was a great thing to hear and certainly played a huge part in the gratuity that WAS NOT paid for the awful experience We recently took the children to the newly opened El Patron just down the street from San Marcos and Every Body had a great time the food was much better and the server enjoyed interacting with the children We have found a much nicer place for every one to get...

I went to grab lunch for my coworker & I. I had to go back due to my chimichanga fried like chicken. I overheard the short guy saying it's suppose to be fried but sir absolutely not fried to HELL! My coworker taco salad was filled with grease that it was a pool of grease in the plate! I checked my food before leaving but didn't remove the lid. Once I got back to work to eat .. it was something with black specs & hairs on one end of my chimichanga🤮🤮 I was so grossed out that we both just trashed our lunch. I would always eat from the San Marcos on Burbank in Montgomery so, I figured everything was good here as well. BIG MISTAKE!! I hope they become rich from our $7 & $8. You're in a place of business to fix people food but don't fix people food according to how you would do your own!!! Make it make sense. Get out of the kitchen preparing other people food if you are really not genuine...
