I have typically been loving my experiences at First Watch since I started eating there about 2 years ago. The seasonal dishes and beverages are usually top notch. I've typically had really good service experiences. Generally, I would absolutely recommend this place as a top choice for after church brunch.
Today however, I did not have a typical experience. I might have liked to give this feedback more privately, but the post payment options did not allow for a private feedback survey or email.
Today we were seated in Logan's section. Initially she was polite and friendly though harried. She took our food order and forgot to return. Our plates were delivered by a friendly and funny runner very quickly after our order. We observed Logan being very attentive to several other tables including the one right next to us that was seated 10 minutes after we were. She was conversational and responsive and seemingly treating other guests with the appropriate amount of customer service. She still did not return to our table. I had to seek her out and mentioned that I thought she might have forgotten about us and asked if she could bring water and syrup to the table. Logan displayed an immediate change of tone, energy, and body language. She became almost instantly hostile. She quickly brought water to the table, but had to be reminded about the syrup. Her vocal responses at this point had turned short and curt and her affect was sarcastic graciousness. It felt icky. She returned with the syrup, slammed it on to the table and rolled her eyes. We proceeded with our meal and observed as she continued what appeared to be excellent customer service toward her other tables. Logan came back a few short minutes after the syrup slamming and dropped our check on the table. It communicated to me that she was done with us and would not be providing us with customer service at any point. Logan came back a final time to clear dishes while we were finishing up. She attempted to take a dish we were still eating from and then asked if she should bring a box. We were still eating. At no point did Logan ask us how our meal was or if she could bring us anything else. I do not know why we seemed to be singled out by Logan, and her inability to take a gentle correction was startling. Had she been in any way kind or customer service oriented after forgetting about us, I would have had nothing to say. Her immaturity and hostility created a bad experience for our family. Given her otherwise attentive behavior towards other customers, part of me has to wonder if our experience was in any way rooted in bigotry. I'll never know for sure, but we probably won't be back any time soon.

Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to engage with Trinity this week! As a new resident to Wheat Ridge, I’ve been making it a point to get out into the community and interact with different local businesses within the city. A dear friend who knows I love brunch gave me a gift certificate to your restaurant as a housewarming gift. This week I brought my son and his new girlfriend when they came to visit me. As first timers to a First Watch, I can assure you we will be back again soon.
It was busy on Sunday morning around 11a, your busiest time I’m guessing, and Trinity provided welcoming and patient counter service for our party. She paid careful attention and went out of her way to ensure that my food did not contain any allergens, even catching a mistake before the food made it to the table. Trinity regularly made sure we had everything we needed for our meal, and another we ordered to-go.
My biggest takeaway is your team culture. While at your restaurant, I witnessed several team members jumping in to help one another on a regular basis. The sense of teamwork and respect for all was apparent. Thank you for putting your resources toward providing quality food and excellent customer service to our community members. It is recognized and...
Read moreFirst Watch has consistently been our go-to brunch spot, and our recent visit only reinforced why we love it so much. We went for breakfast on a busy Sunday, and despite the crowd, the experience was outstanding.
Our server, Ariana, was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and particularly great with our kids, which made the meal so much more enjoyable. Even with the restaurant being packed, she managed to provide excellent service, ensuring that we had everything we needed and checking in regularly to see if we required anything else.
The food at First Watch is always wonderful. This time was no exception. Every dish came out fast and hot, maintaining the high quality we’ve come to expect. The menu offers a great variety, and everything we ordered was delicious and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the kitchen staff takes pride in their work.
Overall, First Watch continues to impress us with its excellent service and fantastic food. It’s the perfect spot for a family brunch, and Ariana’s outstanding service made this visit particularly memorable. We highly recommend First Watch to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch experience. We will...
