La Fonda — Restaurant in Wheat Ridge

Absolutely horrible experience. The waitstaff was rude and inattentive. They brought us our orders and one of the dishes literally had styrofoam in it. I had to leave my table and track our server at the host stand in order to tell her that our food had styrofoam in it. Because she never checked in on us the entire time we were there after we got our meals. She came to the table and saw the styrofoam in the beans and said oh it looks like a little box got into it. And I said oh and you don’t see a problem with that? Like it was no big deal. Then we asked her for the check and she never brought it to us. When we were the last people in the restaurant. She instead started to pull out cleaning supplies right in front of us. Even though we requested the check. I had to get up and tell her we asked for our check and you ignored us and pulled out cleaning supplies. I asked to speak to the man who originally sat us (the owner) and she said he had left. She was rude and dismissive. Even though there was styrofoam...

Total yuk. I ordered a #11 combo - - tostada, enchilada, and a chile relleno - - $10.25. I thought beans and rice were included, but found out it would be $1 more, so, o.k., fine. I ordered the rellano soft. My friend ordered the same thing, but with beef in her enchilada instead of cheese and guac on her tostada. The tostadas at Taco Bell are a lot better & the rice wasn' t "right." The cheese enchilada I got was not good. The only good thing was the soft chile relleno & beans. I got a to-go box for the relleno & beans. It cost me $15.80 for Americanized-Mexican food. Never again will I go there. The chips & salsa were free! Salsa was o.k., but the onion in it looked old. Tacos Jalisco on 38th & Tennyson is the real deal. I go out to eat quite often & have lived here 44 years, so I know the real deal. Oh, the manager wasn't on duty, so I couldn't lodge a complaint...

Very terrible experience the waiter didn't keep up on our order felt very pushed off and rushed. Food was really really good but where they really get you is charging you for extra chips that they initially offered you in the first place charging you 2:50 for a drink and then when you ask for a refill which usually is free refills want to charge you a dollar per drink now put the map together you have a family of 5 people each of you order a drink and each get a refill you're looking at over $15 in Just in drinks. now granted my group was really small but now seeing this makes me not want to bring my big family to this restaurant. That being said food was great service was absolutely terrible nd the worth for the food plus the terrible service was not. Be weary...
