Me and a friend googled this place and we did not read any of the reviews I read the reviews and it's a mix of satisfied and dissatisfied customer but me and my friend probably was the most dissatisfied and disappointed customers but then again maybe not there may have been other customers of my race that ran into the same situation but have not posted about it the issue was how we or I was treated when it came to our turn in line to order first off I always pay attention to how the place of business and the employees treat me! being an African American man I've encountered many different and various ways of being treated differently from other customers I always pay attention to the way the business and the employees treat the other customers that are visiting whatever business I happened to be shopping or eating at ! this is what i mean by being treated differently! there was a couple and a single gentleman in front of us I always pay attention to the size of the scoops that are being scooped for the other customers that are in front of me because I've been treated differently at other dollar scoops before so I really pay attention to the scoop sizes that are being served in front of me needless to say everyone in front of me was being served 2to3 scoops for one scoop anyone who has ever went to a dollar scoop knows what I'm talking about the single gentleman in front of us asked for 2 scoops one of fried rice and one of sesame chicken his styrofoam container was full she could barely shut the lid when we finally got to place our order I had order 3 scoops of meat products she put one spoon full of each meat products in my container and needless to say when she was done there was enough room in my tray for 3 more scoops of meat or 3 scoops of rice why could she hardly close the guys tray when he only bought 2 scoops I eat at alot of dollar scoops but my list is getting shorter and shorter because more often than not I am being treated like this at alot of the dollar scoop Chinese restaurant I just wanted to say one more thing hey all of you dollar scoop owners tell your employees to treat everyone the same who comes through your restaurant's doors I really feel like I have s!#t on me when I leave your restaurant no one should have to ever feel the way I do what I have started doing is when I'm being served differently from the customers that were in front of me I will just turn around and leave I will not pay for undersized portion anymore but it's still very hurtful to be treated that way people in this world this goes to everyone please stop judging people by the color of their skin but by the content of their character ! Oh and by the way I won't be visiting this...
Read moreI was a frequent diner at this establishment for a couple of years. I had ordered the Egg FooYoung with fried rice, but had the displeasure of finding a hair in my food. I closely examined it for a minute before taking a bite of my food. It was a hair alright and it wasn't mine because when I dug my fork into the rice for my first bite, I discovered a hair was deeply embedded into the serving of rice. It was not a long hair (maybe an inch maximum), but a hair nonetheless. I took it up to the counter and pulled a lady to the side and showed it to her. She promptly put it in a napkin and ask the other worker to examine it also. That worker said it was probably a fiber from the plastic take-out box, which the food was delivered to me in. I told the first lady, that was hair, which she replied "No hair" I had to disagree with her, but I got the same reply, "No hair" and carried on with the next customer. I went back to my table and sat there, contemplating my next move. I decided to just walk out, instead of create a scene to have a back & forth debate about what was in my food. Now I'm not someone who specializes in forensic science, but in my 65yrs. of life experiences, I think that I would put good money down, on the fact that IT WAS A HAIR! My point is, they could have apologized for whatever was in my fried rice and taken it back to the kitchen and offered me another dish or a refund or SOMETHING! I believe that most reputable establishments would have taken the dish and offer me a new plate, but I didn't even do much as get an apology. That's not good business practices, in my view. For a semi-regular customer, to be treated like that is horrible and I will never enter that place again. I guess they have never heard "The customer is always...
Read moreIm not one to comment something negative on a restaurant or any place. I have experience in restaurants and costumer service! Witch I’m really lenient when it comes to judgment! I know people have bad days and sometimes you just want to go home, but lately this place is a BIG NOO. This used to be our go to when we wanted some Chinese food. Unfortunately not no more. They started to close early and have only a few trays of out. Witch was not a big problem because if they didn’t have something out we would ask for it and they would make it. Lately they have been saying that that was all they had and they couldn’t make any more ?? Like I said I have restaurant experience and if you close at 10:00pm and someone comes in at 9:58pm they HAVE to serve them anything in the menu.. Witch in this case they didn’t.. It wasn’t even close to closing time there were other people In front and behind us waiting to order. It hasn’t been only one time this has happened to us but multiple times. At first we thought it was a bad day kinda thing, but it hasn’t changed. We always make sure to leave decent tips. Witch you would think if you get a good tip from your regular customer they will trate you good and keep you happy. Nop. We get attitude by the young lady serving every time !! Not happy with my local Chinese food no more rather travel extra miles and get better service else where... Do NOT come to this place if you want good service because this place lacks...
