I stopped by to get a bite to eat after searching on Google restaurants near me. This place came up. I saw it was Vietnamese American, and I thought the atmosphere and the food would be good.

I was in there for 10 minutes. Nobody came to my table. I walked over to the bar to sit down, thinking, well, maybe they didn’t see me. Still sitting there- Nobody came over. The lady with the little blue dress on (trying to look 21), with black hair and a big nose, finally walked over and said to me, “Hey darling, what can I get, Cha?”

I was in the building for a total of 20 minutes. Then, an older white couple walks in, and she immediately walks right over to them as they pull out their bar stools and say, “Hi guys, how can I help you?” She asked them if they wanted a menu & took their drink order. They had just walked into the place.

The service towards African American people is ridiculous. Never judge a book by its cover! Then again maybe she was prejudiced. Who knows?

So I decided that if my money wasn’t good enough to spend in this place, I would...

I wanted to give them five-star rating because of the fact they offer free pool on Sundays and I on Wednesdays, but this service was so bad tonight I can't give a five-star rating. the new bartender waitress are whoever she was didn't even acknowledge us when we came into the place. when she did she took half of our orders and then didn't take the other half so half of us were sitting at the table with nothing to drink and then if she finally took our order and brought us our side and we went to the smoking area to have a cigarette and we were there talking for a little bit maybe about 15-20 minutes and we came back to our table and are drinks we're gone and third time she took orders for 2 people that are table and didn't ask anybody else if they wanted a drink so she lost out on a bigger tip and she lost out on on business for the place but other than that the place is definitely very fun...

Previously my experiences going there have been good but tonight WOOW, the manager was a total jerk. I've never seen the one that was there tonight and don't plan to go back in the evening to run into him again. Although the very friendly waitress came by and served us another round, the manager and another guy swooped in, banging bar stools all around us, putting them up for the night, all the while doing FAKE LOUD yawning sounds... if you can't handle the late nights, DON'T WORK IN A BAR or post EARLIER CLOSING HOURS, no need to act like a jerk, listen in on our conversations and make snide remarks under your, not-so-quiet breath. Totally unprofessional and completely rude. In retrospect I should have asked for a refund on the beers that we left 1/2 full because they made us feel so unwelcome. Work it out with the GM, but YOU should not be working nights. ...

I didn't order any food, only stopping in for a couple of drinks. I didn't like how the bar is split between two rooms. it was hard to get a seat, so I was stuck on the side with no people except for someone getting cut off by the bartender for being too drunk (it happens). That said, I couldn't really get a feel for the place. I get the feeling this place is heavily populated by the truck stop folks. I was looking for a dive bar, and I think I found it. some patrons were commenting that the good portions were big. So there's that.. Staff seemed nice and were having fun, just not with the guy next to me. 😂 I would pop in again, just maybe with a friend.

Nice atmosphere, food was ok. Waitress rush through explaining what exactly the dish was. Sounded good from what I gathered. Dish was served over noodles (hate noodles) and came with a sauce to drizzle over the dish. The sauce ruined it, I ate 3 bites, pushed it away. Told the waitress I couldn't eat it. She carried it away. The appetizer of fried shrimp was so great, cooked nice and crispy. Got finished, received my check, it was full price (35.00). Never even got asked if I'd like something else. Place is set up really nice, music was really good, and the location is great. Being a trucker,I was able to walk down from the truckstop.

In an era saturated with trendy hipster bars, sophisticated wine bars, and exclusive ultra lounges, it's hard to deny the unique charm of an authentic neighborhood dive bar. I'm completely drawn to these establishments, which still exude a genuine, old-school American atmosphere. Even a few rounds of pool transported me back to the bar scenes of the mid to late 90s. Having visited twice already, I see no reason not to become a regular. *As an added bonus, alongside the standard bar fare, they offer surprisingly delicious Vietnamese cuisine – I believe the owner is Vietnamese.
