Update 9/30/2024 I had been here a few times to meet friends for breakfast and had a great experience. When I went today it seemed like the restaurant had changed hands. No one was at the front counter to seat us, our favorite staff people weren’t there either. Food was well prepared and was still really good. It just didn’t feel the same as before. Maybe because it was a Monday?? Not sure ——————————————- Rise N Dine is a very convenient place to meet up with friends for breakfast or lunch. We were greeted with a smile by host Julio and he sat us in a booth by a window which was really nice. The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Everything was very clean including the restrooms. There’s plenty of spacious parking on the side and in back. They also had plenty of outdoor shaded seating if you want an outdoorsy touch.
Their menu is surprisingly extensive with a huge variety of items. Adriana our server is excellent! We had some questions about the menu and she took her time explaining and also that we could substitute anything! They allow countless substitutions that other places would not. Offering sweet potatoes (fried, baked, mashed) and cauliflower rice vs hash browns (a little up charge but generous portion is given). Turkey bacon vs pork item was nice too. Plus a lot more subs. than I can write in this review.
I ordered the veggie skillet with cauliflower rice and also ordered their healthy whole wheat pancakes vs toast. My friend ordered an omelette. We each tasted all items ordered. The food here is excellent. Served hot, fresh, flavorful and generously portioned! My eggs were cooked to perfection and the Whole Wheat pancakes were fluffy, light, huge and soo good. Served with Greek yogurt, fresh cut fruit, granola garnish and syrup! The presentation of our plates was so pretty. Table attendants were always there to refill water, iced tea and coffee.
Adriana our server was so nice and very personable. We felt so comfortable and relaxed. We usually meet at a different place as my friend is from Wisconsin and we meet 1/2 way. We were so impressed with the overall experience that we are making this our permanent meet up place. Thanks Adriana for making this a really 10 star experience and celebrating my friends birthday with a scrumptious slice of...
Read moreJust had the worst experience here.. picked up a Challah French Toast to eat later yesterday... when looking at it it had chocolate, which I did not ask for at all, then when placing back in bag it said "add Nutella". My throat could have closed up due to nut allergy and I never order Nutella (the girl seemed rushed too when taking my phone order). Called back the following day = today. Ivan the manager said that there are nuts on the line and I should have said I'm allergic as a customer instead of asking me (now rule of thumb for restaurant owners is you need to state those for sure allergy contaminants to your guests when making an order!!!). He cut me off throughout conversation, ended up stating it was my fault instead of his rushed inadequate hostess that incorrectly took my order, and hanging up on me. I asked him to refund my money instead prior to, so I hope he does that while talking over me. IVAN AND OWNERS: LEARN HOW TO BE A GOOD EXPERIENCE AND LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES (CUSTOMER IS 90% OF TIME ALWAYS RIGHT) OR CLOSE NOW! Best to you!!!! Worst, worst service and food handling... Update to owner's comment: "I'd like to clarify that contrary to the owner's claim that I called him names, I simply said he was cutting me off, talking over me, and being rude. I was trying to point out that expecting customers to be psychic about undisclosed nuts on the line is unreasonable - this information should be shared with all guests who have nut allergies. Falsely accusing me of name-calling when I was merely expressing frustration makes your establishment even less appealing. I remained on the call despite your unprofessional behavior. If you can't handle difficult work situations professionally, you shouldn't be running a business or should delegate customer service to someone who can. Thank you for processing my refund Ivan." ...what a jerk.. now that's...
Read moreThis was once the best thing going on for breakfast and lunch in this area and I gave it 5 stars. Since changing owners, every facet of the restaurant has gone straight downhill. The food prep, the cooking and the service all remind me of any greasy spoon nugget type restaurant at this point. Beyond that the pandemic has made it obvious that they dont have any real experience in dealing with delivery orders due to the simplest issue becoming a big issue. Also the lack of customer service when our order arrived wrong and we called to rectify it was just sad at best. A kid answers the phone, proceeds to be short with my wife just saying "I'll look into it" and hanging up on her. Called back, and this kid gets irritated and argumentative as my wife is asking for some kind of resolution. Finally we just ask for the manager as this kid is obviously had no customer service skills, we wait on hold (probably while this kid makes his case) and the "manager" comes on talking about how the kid wasn't trying to be rude and didn't know how to work the phones properly... at this point WE brought up the solution of refunding us the item or sending it out as the kid should have automatically just said in the first place and the "manager", who apparently hadn't thought of this yet jumped on board to refund that one item. As a person who worked in the food industry, customer service, and hospitality industries that is the poorest response to an issue I've ever gotten that kid should never be allowed to talk to a customer again and this is unfortunately the last bullet in this...
