If I could give this place less than one star, I would. We had our daughters second birthday party at this location, I had planned a menu with the owner some time in a advance, we went over all of the dishes and amounts of everything included in their banquet menu. We were planning for 15+ people. At the day of the event, when everyone was already ready to be seated, the table was empty. No forks, spoons, spoons for cold dishes, dirty silverware(glasses), hair in food, etc. Our guests had to wait 30+ minutes for them to start serving us anything, not until I had asked the waiter more than three times to begin serving appetizers. Our guests waited more than two hours for them to begin serving, our main courses, hot appetizers. Furthermore, I had to explain to our guests why nothing was being put on our table. After asking multiple different waiters at a time, to at least bring juice to the table because that was not even offered to us, when it was suppose to be included in our banquet menu. Our main courses were served, we had ordered kebab family plates for the whole table, not enough food was served, half of our guests left hungry. After specifically asking when ordering these dishes, if it would be enough to serve 15+people. Not only did our food come late, our food was not cooked properly, the rice in our plov was not cooked all the way. Desert was never served to our guests...as it was included in our banquet menu. Waiter did not service our table whatsoever, during the duration from 7pm-11pm, he came to our table twice, to possibly change out plates and not give us any new silverware for upcoming dishes. Not even considering if anyone had allergies, due to using silverware to put different dishes at a time, since not having any other forks or spoons at the table. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. Do not recommend this place what so ever. Waste of time and money..Embarrassing to even do any type of event and banquet. Word of advice: if you guys don't know what service is suppose to be like, do not offer...
Read moreWe tried Plov and Tandoor Samsa, Beef Shahlik(kebab). Lets start with Plov 4, to be honest I expected more then what I got, cause for the guy who grew up in Tashkent, that food tastes like not enough to enjoy. It's just my personal opinion but as of now Plov is 4, why because that is Samarkand style Plov, and it made lil different then Tashkent style Plov. FYI most of the Restaurant in US making Samarkand style Plov. Maybe I change my mind later, if they make Tashkent Plov at least 1 day of week.
Samsa 3* is looks smaller and were hard to bite, overkept in Tandoor. Not that Juicy at all. I hope they will fix it... Samsa needs more onion and put some Kyurdyuk that will be Fantastic.
Shashlik tastes good as it should be 4*. But meat 2-3 was slightly dry or stayed on open air longer or so. We chewed that as a Gum. That's not good. Overall not that what should be used for Shashlik. Or you guys need to marinade that meat properly, or buy special meat for shalik.
Inside decor etc, seems like for SNG(СНГ) people only, seriously. Guys all those shiny staff not look good. It may look for SNG people but you making business in US and hoping to serve American people as well. Now you guys made it not uzbek style not European style, thats in between. Sorry to saying this, Im just trying to be honest, I hope you find good points on this review.
Pricing seems fair 5* that was $20-$30 per person.
At the end of this review I wish you guys best, and hope your business will grow, and makes...
Read moreI recently visited the restaurant Samarkand. My friends and I came for lunch, ate, and we ordered plov and kazan kebab. And samsa. The samsa was amazing. You definitely have to come back for the samsa. We also tried the kazan kebab. Unfortunately, the potatoes in the kazan kebab were not well seasoned. But the potatoes were still good. The meat was great. Then we also got plov. The taste of the plov wasn't very good. The oil they used might have been old, or the plov just wasn't fresh. We didn't send the plov back, but we hardly ate it. We also ordered manty. However, we had to wait a long time for the manty. We also asked our waiter to add boiling water to our tea. The staff tried their best, but they need to be faster, more attentive, and more caring towards the guests. We had to call our waiter again and again many times, which caused some discomfort. I would say that the food here is delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and I like the prices. I enjoyed the taste of the food, but the service could still be improved. I will definitely come back, if only for the samsa, which I...
