Horrible experience this morning at this restaurant.
I received an email that pancakes were 25% off so I thought I would go in before starting work and get my pancake fix. I ordered pancakes and bacon the waiter took it amongst him self to give me a short stack which was three pancakes. Pancakes were delicious and the bacon was on the burnt side.
Received my check along with my food as If i was being rushed, I was the only person in the entire restaurant I didn’t understand that.
Went to check out and realize that I hadn’t gotten my 25% off on my pancakes so I told the front desk girl who went back and asked the waiter about my bill at that point I was informed that I have to order a full order pancakes to get 25% off I suggested that they inform anyone ordering pancakes that by ordering a full order of pancakes you were ultimately pay less then a short stack and would had been a nice conscientious effort on the waiters part then I suggested they charge me for the full order I’m still going to save two dollars and I was told that they could not do that a manager was involved who was young and had no managerial skills whatsoever he actually implied that if I would have read the sign on my table I would’ve known that my order of pancakes were not 25% off. Its 5 minutes later I need to get to work with no resolution I reluctantly paid the entire bill with no discount and informed the manager that I would never return, his response was I’m sorry and walks away. I am a Manager in a medical facility I was shocked at how this was handled over 25% discount you would lose a long time customer. I can go to IHOP for half the cost keep that in mind Walker brothers. Very rude people working in this location.
I’ve always been trained that the customers is always right it was fairly simple to apply the discount but apparently my business is not wanted at this restaurant therefore will never be solicited...

Read moreI have fond memories of going to Walker Bros as a kid with my dad and this place feels basically the same all these years later. Service was quick, didn't have to wait long for a seat or for the food to come to the table.
I got a corned beed hash plate with eggs and toast. The corned beef hash was kind of cold by the time I was making my way through and it was served weird in my opinion with raw chopped onion inside. The eggs were served over easy as I requested. I also got rye toast which was good quality and served with a nice whipped butter and jam. That combo is delicious on its own. The texture of the corned beef with the raw onion inside kind of put me off, reminded me of like a raw meat ball, but that is just how they prepare it and it tasted fine overall.
My fiance had a nice plate of the Lox Benedict with pancakes that looked delicious and fresh. Everything was prepared well and the service was great. I would probably get an Omelette or pancakes next time as I think those are some of the better menu items. It was a little on the pricier side for some items, like an Omelette is $18 now for example, but hard to complain since most prices are high right now. While I wouldn't get the Corned Beef Hash again, if I was looking for a casual breakfast with the family I would...
