Hello Boba — Restaurant in White Bear Lake

Saw this place in Instagram and looked really cute so i had to try. Made it here with my wife and we both got something different, pinky matcha and taro twilight. We both agreed that it was underwhelming.

We have had multiple boba teas and matcha from many places in MN and other states but these ones weren’t good, too bland and not as tasty as I’d hope for.

I’d be willing to try new flavors but it’s pretty far from where I am, so it’s very likely I won’t be returning any time soon.

The aesthetic is very cute and cheerful, enough space and some nice quality merch.

The cashier Erik was great 👍🏼 patient and helpful.

*Bland not because of sweetness, bland because the matcha taste wasn’t really there, tasted more like milk. The taro drink was the same issue. It’s not about the sweetness, I’m glad it’s not too sweet but tastes subpar comparing to other boba and matcha places. It’s my personal opinion, if you like it, great! We can agree...

The menu has a good variety but lacking smoothies. I brought my girls with and one usually orders smoothie so it was a little tough finding something she'll like. The cashier was really nice and patient while we all looked at the menu.

It would be better if they have the menu posted at a couple area versus next to the register. This way it will give other customers not currently ordering to see what they have to offer. Looking around the entire shop I only saw one trash can which is kind of hidden next to the bathroom. Maybe putting another one by the straws or the door would be nice. A lot of cute little areas to take a photo or 2.

waited 15+ minutes for two drinks, employees were very loud and it felt like they talked more than actually making our drinks. Apparently they ran out of some ingredients and instead of telling us customers right away they made us wait and finally told us after the 15 minutes. The people who ordered after us got their drinks before.

I finally got my drinks 21 minutes later, was in a rush to get out and once I got into the car I realized that my drink was also made incorrectly. They had put coffee jelly instead of the original boba. I understand this is a new boba place but this was a bad first experience for me.
