I am writing to alert my neighbors that the White Center location, or perhaps the whole Big Marios company, may have been hacked. I've ordered online twice before without incident, but in both cases, I arrived to the store prior to getting an text notification that the order is ready. The previous two orders were ready 10 minutes AFTER the suggested pick up time. Today, I was notified the order was ready 20 minutes BEFORE the suggested pick up time. I was still home, got the text, and began the 10 minute drive to the store. When I got there, Luis said there was no order for me to pickup. I showed him both the text messages (A.) confirming the order, B.) saying the order was ready, plus the email receipt. He told me that an Uber driver had walked in off the street, had my order information, and walked off with my order ($87 worth of product including tip). Luis told me I was out of luck. I asked for a manager (I hate uttering those words) and he said there was no manager. I refused to leave, so he quickly and politely remade the order. The pies, as always, were fantastic, but now I'm left here trying to figure out where the order was hacked. My home computer is on a secure wi-fi connection and my email has 2FA. So it's most likely Big Mario's website server or the DoorDash application that processes the order. It was interesting Luis says it was an "Uber driver" and not a DoorDash driver that stole my order, but added "it happens all the time". So I'm not sure of what the fix is here. Management (if they exist) needs to lock down their tech platform. Perhaps the wi-fi at the store is not secure and someone right outside the door can read the orders. Also, there is a chance a guest simply read the order on the small register screen they have at checkout when Luis was not looking. Sadly, I will never order carryout from them again, and should I ever dine-in, will pay cash. Their store is not safe and now I need to spend what would have been a day of celebration, changing passwords. I really hope they fix this issue, the product is otherwise great and the dine-in is a gem of the neighborhood. I added a photo -- their website problem resolution phone number has one too...
Read moreTypically can count on a real NY style slice from here. Pretty big compliment in the PNW. We've been coming to Mario's since we moved here in 2019. The White Center location opened recently, and we were extatic as West Seattle residents. Although... we come about x6 a month. It is normally great except when the older chick at the front works. Pies are not consistent when she's there. She also refuses to give you the garlic every time, although it's never a problem unless she's there. Super rude and a NY No no. Tonight was sad the way she treated my son and his friend simply for asking. She should honestly go work at little Ceasars because that's the level of care she puts into anything, including the pies. So doughy even though we asked for well done. Obviously rushes those pizzas out because she can't be bothered. It's so...
Read moreAbsolutely disgusted. Big Mario's is well known for low tier quality, service and taste at a wildly inflated price but this was next level. Ordered 2 slices and apparently the guy never put them in. Served other people, including the person I was with. They had eaten most of their food by the time the employee realized. When he went to grab the slices to put in the oven, he dropped one and put it back in the case like nothing happened. I had to turn away because I was so furious I wanted to go off. He gave me the slices and I left then threw them away. Beyond gross. I hope no one got hepatitis or something from that. I expected terrible food, I didn't expect that. I will likely be contacting the health department about it this...
