My family has been dining at Twin Oaks since I was a kid. 30 years later I’m dining here with children of my own. When we are planning to go to the restaurant, the kids are smiling with excitement.
The service is always great, but tonight was probably one of the best experiences we ever had, not just at Twin Oaks, but at any restaurant. Our waitress was Abby and she was on-point. She was like a genie; making sure we had everything we needed at the time we needed it. Not only was the waitress extremely attentive, the server was very courteous and also made sure everything was consistently correct. In addition, the host periodically assured our contentment during his travels to and from seating folks. This treatment could be expected on a slow night at restaurants but tonight was one of the busiest nights I have seen. Nearly every table was full and despite being packed, me and the kids felt like royalty.
Our jaws nearly dropped when the food came out as quickly as it did. At first, I was a bit confused because I thought the server had brought us somebody else’s food. In my mind, all I can think was: “there’s no way our food is here already”!
The food was delicious as always; everything was cooked to perfection, with love. Needless to mention, the cooks did a fantastic job.
I don’t expect perfect service from every person at every restaurant. Realistically, this is difficult to achieve. We are all human with real lives and all we can do is the best we can do. I get that. However; Twin Oaks has always maintained that special ingredient when it comes to their team. They have Synergy that is evidently brewed by the humble man who owns the place. Twin Oaks is a family favorite. They check all the boxes from consistency to quality.
Great Service, Great People and Great Food.

Read moreThis was absolutely awful. We ordered a combination sandwich that we get all the time. It came out completely wrong and brunt. The waitress took it to the OWNER and he said re make it. So the waitress sets down the first sandwich and proceeds to the back to have it remade. We open the sandwich that was left at the table and it was all burnt inside. So the waitress comes back with the new sandwich and my mom says can you please just pack that up instead. She proceeds to pack it up at the next table so we can all see and the OWNER comes over to her takes and says this isn’t happening . Every serve turned and looked because no one knows what was going on. The poor waitress looked like she was gonna cry. So the OWNER not being able to talk to his customers sends his bar tender Brook over. She proceeds to tell us I don’t know what happened but he took it off the bill. We explained we didn’t ask for this to be free just to be remade and we didn’t ask to keep the original which mind you now a flies have landed on it multiple times. She goes do you want me to box that and we proceeded to say no she didn’t eat it and flies have been on it. She goes oh well he took it off the bill. The OWNER then proceeds to leave with the food. I guess business isn’t that great. I’ve worked in customer service and in the restaurant industry. This is not the way that you conduct business. The owner could not even be half decent to come over and apologize or explain himself. I’m disgusted, appalled, and honestly embarrassed for everybody who worked there and witnessed that and didn’t agree with it .10 out of 10 would...
Read moreWe had a family gathering and rented the "party room" which happened to be in front of the kitchen, which was the first thing wrong because extremely hot in there. We ordered appetizers that were dry and not appealing. We got wings, some taco nacho thing, and fried zucchini. The wings were really over cooked. The zucchini just tasted and looked like it was complete grease with a very thin shaving of a zucchini. And the taco nacho thing was just a complete dump of lettuce tomatoes and meat. The meat was super soft and tasted off. Then cames the main meals, which took close to an hour to even order. The place didnt seem very busy and the waitresses were nice but clearly were not communicating to one another and seemed overwhelmed. I had ordered the Twin Oaks salad that came with lettuce, mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, chicken, and an egg. First of all, there were no mixed greens. It was just iceberg lettuce. The chicken looked like it was previously frozen and just thrown on the grill to be heated up. The salad was blah. I could have made a better one myself. Overall, i was not impressed at all with this restaurant but what can you expect when its in the middle of a shopping plaza?! I dont know how my brother likes this place because it was one of your typical low restaurants that serve crappy pre-frozen greasy foods. Sorry for the bad review but was not impressed with this...
