We've eaten here occasionally over the years and it is usually pretty predictable an average American family restaurant. Today, my husband and I stopped in hoping for a quick lunch. We weren't disappointed. I ordeted a cup of chicken noodle soup and a side of their mac n cheese. Both were very good! The noodles in the soup were good quality and plentiful, as was the chicken. My husband ordered a cup of shrimp corn chowder and a ham and cheese sandwich. He was happy to discover real shrimp in the soup and a lot of ham on his sandwich. He enjoyed both. We ate and had beverages and the bill was $16. The service was great and food came swiftly and hot. We were quite happy with all of the menu options. Oh...and you can get breakfast all day if desired. Edit...today for lunch I enjoyed their au Jus sandwich. It is very crowded on Sundays...

Very busy at 10:30 am so returned at noon. Food was really good. Stuffed Hash brown comes with two eggs and toast. Potatoes were super good and everything it was stuffed with tasted very fresh. This was a surpringly good breakfast. The flavor was on point! The bread is home made and tasted like it. Our Granddaughter loved the grilled chicken sandwich. It was a huge piece of chicken breast and it was hot and juicy. I tasted it and found it super tender. Served with Home-made Chips and a creamy onion dip. Coffee was a medium roast with mild flavor. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place. Meal with coffee and two sodas came to $42.40 without tip. Good serving size and good value. We will...

2 stars because the eggs, bacon, and coffee were good. The biscuits and gravy were terrible! I'm southern so I KNOW gravy. I took one bite and when asked if anything was wrong, I told Ashley B, the waitress, that it didn't taste good. She asked what I would like instead. When my bill came I was charged for the plain biscuit I ordered in its place. This is the very first restaurant I've ever been to, and I travel 20-25 days a month, that didn't offer a free substitute or discounted meal. When I asked about the charge and why, Ashley said there was nothing wrong with it just because I didn't like it. Looks like only the locals are appreciated so travelers don't waste your time and money. 2 words Gary's and Ashley -...

We enjoyed our breakfast here. The wait for food was a little on the longer side, but it was pretty busy for a Monday morning. Everyone I was with said their food was good and the portion sizes were just right. The stuffed hash browns were a cool idea we hadn't seen before. The rye toast was amazing. We also liked how they had disposable plastic lids that fit on the drinking glasses and a cup of crayons and coloring books for the kids because the kids were happy and we appreciated the efforts at sustainability. The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. We would go back if we are in the area again.
