Where do I start. Only car in drive thru. Parking lot was empty except for employee cars. Waited 1 minute before someone asked for our order. Told them I needed just a couple more seconds to decide what I wanted. Started placing order and was told to "hold on for a minute" and the person would be right back to take order. Person came back after 1 minute to finally take order. Ordered My wife's meal. Had to tell them 3 times I wanted a root beer float. I saw they had new baked items so I thought I'd try. I wanted the baked shrimp. The person taking order said they were batter dipped. I asked if they were baked. He again responded they were batter dipped. I asked yet again if they were baked. Again the batter dipped response. Gave up on shrimp order and said I would like the 2 cod baked meal with Mac and cheese and cole slaw. Again, the batter dipped response. I said forget it, I would just like one piece baked cod meal. No batter dipped response. Hallelujah. Progress. Person taking order (let's call him Ned from now on) asks what sides I want. I stated the same sides I mentioned 15 seconds ago. Mac and cheese and cole slaw. Ned says ok and wants to know if I would like to add baked shrimp at this point. I'm biting my fist and screaming inside my head at this point. I politely say yes, the baked shrimp with cod sounds great. Can I get a glass of water too. Ned says yes and asks if anything else. Nope. Nothing else Ned. Thanks. I should remind you, no one in front of us at the drive thru. We get to pay window. Ned opens window and asks if we were the people he was just talking with. Well, yes Ned, we were. He stated he wanted to make sure it was the right order. There was no one in front of us! Of course it's our order. Ned says "Well, you're going to have to pull around front because it's going to take 8-10 minutes to bake the meal. Ok, whatever. We pull out front and talk for a bit. We realize about 14 minutes have passed and still no food or Ned. I go in with receipt. Wait another 5 minutes before someone checks to see what they can help me with. Ned gives me the hand motion to come to him. I'm really confused as I can't hear what he's saying. The waitress tells me Ned is saying my order is almost ready. Waiting on hush puppies. Um... Ok, long johns silver staple that is part of every meal. Earlier they told me baking my meal was what was taking so long. As I'm waiting I notice how sticky the floor is everywhere and that there are about 5 people eating in the restaurant and I watch 2 cars go through drive thru. Not busy at all. I finally get my order after waiting 20 minutes and announced that very clearly for everyone near to hear. I get my meal back to my car and inspect things to make sure it's all there and correct. Nowhere did I see any batter dipped shrimp but was very glad to see my baked shrimp. We are never going back to this...
Read moreOrdered 3 chicken meal, got attitude when had to correct them from making it fish (not sure how âchicken mealâ sounds like âfish mealâ maybe the speaker at the drive thru is bad).
Ordered a large root beer. Was told they didnât have any shakes. Pulled around, was handed a root beer float (costs a dollar more which I was charged, have a dairy allergy, plus no shakes but they have ice cream to give out a float?). Took a long time to complete my order and I made sure to check it well before I pulled awayâI order cole slaw and corn for the sides and got slaw and fries. Told the attendant this and she immediately was defensive saying âSir I TOLD you we were out of corn.â When I pointed out that no, she only said they were out of shakes and nothing about the corn, she just shrugged and said âWeâll weâre out of corn so what do you want?â
I was too frustrated with the attitude and slow, poor service I was getting for no good reason to even argue about getting my dollar back for being overcharged for the float. I just left at that point.
Not ONCE did I even get a basic âsorry about thatâ from the attendant at the drive thru, she seemed to just be having a bad day and taking it out on me. I was fine with things missing and waiting for my food; what turned me INTO an angry customer was her behaving like I was one the moment I pulled up to order. I know service workers have it tough but I wasnât making it hard on her, she made it harder for herself not listening and being rude.
Do not recommend. And Iâll not only never come back, Iâll be recalling this to friends and family for the foreseeable future when talking about how bad the service industry at fast food...
Read moreI was the only person inside ordering food, but if felt as if providing efficient service to those in building was not a priority of the staff. While waiting at the register to place an order, I got to witness an open discussion among the employees as to whom would be tasked with taking my order. This made me feel as if my presence was a nuisance rather than being a welcomed customer. The order, as per the time on my receipt, was placed at 4:54 PM; however I was not given my order until 5:07 PM--a fairly lengthy time for a business that follows the fast food model. During my wait, I was never given any status update for my order, nor was there any reason given or apologies offered for the delay. As I wandered the dining room while waiting, I found the floors were slick (not wet, but rather seemingly greasy) in spots and the tables were either poorly cleaned or uncleaned in most circumstances--I'm glad I ordered to go. Saving grace for this experience is the the food itself was actually good (for LJS's fare), hence the second star...
