The food as always was delicious there was no doubt about it.

However the waitress was very inattentive and never not once introduced herself or asking how we were. Not that she is obligated to do either of which, but being personable is key with customer service. After she asked us our drinks she forgot about two out of the four beverages the table had ordered. Then we had to wait for the remainder of the drinks after our food was brought out. When our food finally did come out, only one person out of the four received their food. The rest of us waited at least 6 minutes for the rest. Which is funny because the waitress who took our order, didnt even bring out any of the food. She didnt even help those who did bring it out! So then were finally eating. Starting to get low on drinks. This waitress of course being her inattentive self did not come back and check on us. Did not ask us if we wanted refills, never asked us if there was anything else she can do. Nothing. Actually, she did, but after we were finished eating. In the same breath we asked for our check, me and my significant other were on one, and the other two parties were on another. We waited an ADDITIONAL 15-20 minutes waiting for our check. So now we are getting impatient. As soon as we stand up, and leaving what we thought was correct amount of money,the waitress comes back in a frantic asking why we were leaving. At this point all four parties are standing outside with whomever her name is, looking at the check and reviewing our check over with us she didnt even divide the checks correctly!! Absolutely atrocious.we ordered the Whitehall Triple Play right? So how is the waitress going to show us the check that she was claiming was correct, she divided the meal in such a way that she charged us more and gave us less!! WE DIDNT EVEN GET THE EGGS WITH THE MEAL!!!! Then since the management gave me.a hard time about why I was upset then you're going to ask me to leave a tip?!?! F**K no I'm not leaving a tip are you crazy?!?! After the terrible service you gave me and the utter disrespect the waitress displayed and the management allowing it to happen? This place is a joke..I should have left and not paid a damn thing.. what makes it even worse is not one person tried to rectify the situation. To hell...

We have been going there for years and really have enjoyed exceptional food and service every time. This time there was a very noticeable difference in service and the food and not in a good way. We were seated and a server we have had in the past took our drink order and and told us that our server would be Joanne. We had walked past Joanne when we were seated. Joane was having a conversation with customers at a booth two tables behind us. We could hear that the entire conversation was personal not work related which is not a problem if she was still doing her job but we waited at least 10 minutes before she came over to take our order after explaining that this was not usually her table and they were short staffed. The 3 regular servers that we recognized were moving quickly as they had in the past but Joanne did not. Worst service we ever had. The atmosphere was different in the diner. The owners were not there and I don't ever remember them not being there. They ran an awesome group of servers who all stepped up to fill glasses, remove empty plates as they walked by even though it wasn't their table. That comes from good management. Something has changed and when we asked the cashier if the diner had sold to new owners recently, we got a strange look and were asked "how recent ". This was our favorite diner but I think we are going to take a few months off to see if they can get it together. One last thing. The table next to us had a water leak from ac vent so they put an open tray on the floor with no signage. A family was sat there and got dripped on so they were moved. The hostess then sat another family there until we told them about the leak. How and why didn't she know? That would not have happened with the previous owners. Okay I am done. Right now I would not recommend the diner but we will give it some time because of the history and good experience we have had. I hope they can get training and get back to what has made it one of the best diners...

I was there last night with 6 adults. Arrived at 7, you close at 9. We were almost the only customers, outnumbered by the staff hanging out at the host stand. When the food arrived, only 5/6 meals arrived. 10 minutes later it was obvious you forgot to put in the 6th order. The waitress has still not been by to see how the food was or if anything else was needed. When she finally did stop by to say she forgot to put in my order and the kitchen was working on it, my wife asked for "bing bong" sauce and we were informed there would be an extra charge. You did not charge for this in the past. Let me be clear, I do not care about a $.99 charge for red hot and butter mixed together. However, when you forget to put in an entire order, it might not be the best time to introduce new charges. I asked to speak with a manager and the owner came over! She arrived with a confrontational and contemptuous attitude, fully prepared to chastise the cheapskates in the corner booth. Recognizing your hostile attitude, it was hard not to, I agree to pay the $.99 as I resolve to not return. When my food did arrive, the potatoes were burned on the outside and raw in the middle(of course they were, you can't rush potatoes.) I would have overlooked this, but the toast was also burnt. You can look at it, tell it is burnt, smell it, and yet you still brought it out to the table? 15 minutes after everyone else got their food? Pathetic.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your $.99 we will not be back.
