I am completely appalled by the service and atmosphere of this Starbucks. It was my first time stopping in, I realized my doctors appointment was just around the corner and figured I’d grab a quick coffee. There was two patrons sitting in the store. The drive-through line was long, I waited three minutes at the counter before anyone even acknowledged my existence. The issue is not with waiting. My issue is with lack of customer service. During my extended wait time, I identified a bug zapper, the one that looks like a tennis racket sitting right next to the glass case holding the pastries. This is absolutely disgusting to have where your customers can see it, And it does pose health and safety risks. To top off my experience, there was no napkins in the napkin dispenser, I politely asked if there was another place to grab napkins the barista obnoxiously and aggressively put down The utensil she was using walked too behind the counter, where she grabbed the drive-through napkin dispenser and switched it out. I then made sure to thank her, and she would not even look at me as if she was annoyed. I asked for a napkins. I have worked in The food service industry. I Know how things work. Filling napkins is a busy task that should be checked on daily. But truthfully, it’s not about the napkins. It’s not about the bug zapper. It’s about the lack of positivity and customer service. I did reach out to corporate to let them know about the bug zapper situation. Safe to say, I will not be coming back to...
Read moreI honestly wish I could give zero stars. When this opened, my wife and I were excited that one opened up closer to us with a drive through. Without a doubt, this is the worst Starbucks, and possibly worst drive through/quick restaurant, experience ever. I’ve attempted multiple times and they seem to never be open. My wife has too, and to similar results. Today was the last straw for us. My wife tried again, and the drive through seemed to be open. Awesome! She tried for ten minutes to talk to someone and wasn’t able to. She pulled forward to the window to try to talk to the person there. When she did, the person noticed her, turned around, and walked away. On top of that, I tied to call the Starbucks and received an automated message that “the number isn’t accepting calls”. Why even open a Starbucks if you’re never open, and when you are, won’t let you place any orders? This place is horrible. Don’t go here. There’s a dunkin down the street and another Starbucks about 10-15 min away, though it doesn’t have a...
Read moreThe Fort Washington Starbucks boasts a lovely atmosphere and serves up delicious drinks that can easily brighten your day. However, my recent visit left me with a troubling concern regarding how the employees are monitored and treated. It was disconcerting to overhear management speaking about timing employees' bathroom breaks, creating an uncomfortable environment that detracts from the otherwise enjoyable experience of sipping my coffee. The notion that employees must justify their bathroom needs, even potentially requiring a doctor's note, is an overreach that contradicts the worker protections outlined by OSHA. As someone who also works in a busy service industry, I empathize with the challenges of being understaffed, but it should never come at the expense of the well-being of the employees. I hope Starbucks will reevaluate these practices to ensure a healthier work environment...
