East Wind — Restaurant in Whiteville

Please beware when eating at this restaurant. They are nasty… We had a situation today where they gave our to go plate to the wrong customer. The customer goes outside to her car, opens it up and realize she has the wrong food. She brings it back in and tells the employee at the register that the food is wrong and wouldn’t you know, it just happened to be the plate that I ordered. I told the employee that if that was my food, I did not want it because the lady took it outside and opened it. The employee insisted that they were going to make me a different plate but wanted to carry the food in the back. I told her if she carried the plate in the back, she could just give me my money because I do not trust them to throw that food away because I believe they were going to re-wrap it and give it to me. The employee then gets upset with an attitude and barely even speaks to us anymore and when we left, we tried to say to them whenever somebody takes food out of your restaurant you either let them have it or throw it away. She did not want to hear it. She grabbed the plate and raced it to the back And I’m sure they put that food in with someone else’s so that it would not be wasted. beware of this restaurant that is...

The only reason most people in this town come here is because it's the only Buffet in town. Really! But every time I come in to eat alot of the items are NOT replenished lile they should and I am not going to fill up on rice and pasta! They only put out the bar minimum. Come on! It's Friday evening, you know it's going to be packed in here and yall just refuse to put out certain items. As this evening I came in after work to eat, looked at the buffet and of course ALL the items I would like to eat isn't on the buffet. My wife literally sits there and eats 2 plates before 3 of the items are on the bar is put out. And when she finished her food. At this point I'll spend my money somewhere else. I will not beg a place to put food out to eat. They look at you as if you a bother if you stand there at the bar. They will literally ignore you. The sweet English waitress asked me if something was wrong. And I told her. I am not filling up on food I don't want. They really need to keep that buffet plentiful.. I really wouldn't rate the one star but I couldn't make a review without doing it. I really hate THIS is the ONLY nighttime...

We've been eating with them for a while, many of years to be exact. Ever since they moved to the shopping center close to walmart they have slowly declined. We Just ate their the other night & let me say there was a sign on the door that said mask required and they have a box so you wear gloves to keep from touching the spoons while dipping your food as we both followed. Most the people coming in were not wearing mask and most were not using the gloves even seen one person eating out of there to go plate and still fixing food. I requested tea with a lemon where I was brought hot tea, very foamy with NO lemon. The noodles were awful they tasted like nothing but onions and tasted old.. their was food strung and the workers acted like they could care less. If not had we already started with our meal I would have walked out. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon.. they need to clean up their act and maybe get better reviews beware! People entering should be required and asked to wear mask & wash their hands. Beyond...
