My in store experience around 8pm went well enough. The staff was accommodating, but most of them were inexperienced and they didn’t have advertised items. I was looking forward to the broccoli cheddar soup, but I had to settle for the loaded potato soup because they didn’t have what I wanted. The young lady did warm my soup for me and had a great attitude about my requests. My overall experience was really dampened by my food experience. My sandwich was delicious and well made but the soup was lumpy and didn’t look like soup at all, but just potatoes. I called back to the store to see what my options were to correct this issue. The young lady listened to me but her response was under welling. She asked me “what do you want me to do about it? I asked what my options were. She said she could write my name down for a store credit. I informed her that I live states away and would probably not be returning. She said that’s all she could do because she wasn’t remaking the soup because they would have to make a whole bag and that would be a waste. I asked if I could get my money back. She said she didn’t know how to do that and informed me that there was no manager at the store to assist me. My issue was not resolved and I felt completely under valued as a customer. I just wanted what I paid for or my money back!

Although there wasn’t one there, the team members present worked well together to make sure I had a good experience this time! Read moreI ended up leaving Whitewater, WI, with a very good impression of this Subway. Customer service for me was very, very great especially when I became a regular and got to know the staff and develop rapports with them. One of the staff even complimented my hair which I thought was uber polite and I gave her compliment of something I thought was unique about her. I tend to be one of those customers that is very polite and understanding with business individuals because I can understand things get busy and they can be having a bad day because of some other rotten customer. All this said, when I didn't know them as well, some of the attitudes of the staff could be quite snappy and irritable. Also, I once realized they'd put something I didn't want on my sandwich when I got home. I chalked this up to my own fault since they make the food right in front of you and I should have noticed. However, I called them up just to see if they'd be willing to make the switch. Over the phone, a staff member cheerfully told me she'd be willing to replace the order for me if tripped back up to the restaurant and said to just come right back in. When I got their, this employee's boss walked in and said that I couldn't do that and this staff just apologized and I had to go back home. If anything, they could have replaced the sandwich for the trip I had to make back given they told me they could switch it out. Wasn't too pleased about that but overall, I left with a good attitude. As a opener for a Subway in the new berlin area I was extremely disappointed with this joint. I ordered a little after 11am. By this time there should be fresh bread available! As an opener your first job is usually to prep bread, and make sure it's rising, so that you can put it in the oven about an hour later, and it will be ready for lunch service. The bread I got was dark brown and hard. Clearly from the day before. This ruined the sandwich. Also not to mention the worker did not fully cook my chicken. I somewhat understand as the ovens are hard to use sometimes, but still unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and head down the street to Jersey Mike's to get a good sub.
