*Ordered regular/basic fries and they manage to screw that up.
We were never were greeted at the door. After waiting for 25 minutes we had to flag down multiple people repeatedly to get a waitress (mind you it was not busy, practically empty). After finally getting a waitress like 10 minutes after those 25 minutes, our waitress took our order. We order some alcoholic beverages and some slider/fries. 1) some of our drinks came out separately with about 15 minute periods in between. 2) the drinks were nothing but food coloring, water, and sugar...not even ice in it. 3) Our extremely simple orders of mini sliders and fries came out one by one. By the time we all (the 8 of us friends) finally all had our meals that we couldn't eat together it had been a nearly accumalated 2 hours. When our food came out it was cold and dropping with grease...BASIC FRENCH FRIES, guys!!! iii couldn't make this up! Our server by the name of Kayla continued to laugh and smile, serve and walk around with her friends right next to our table. Mind you, they came in after us, were a larger group and left before us all satisfied and fulfilled. Not once did she some up us to ask if our food was ok or needed something else. It was such blatant lack of service that even her own friends looked at us and back at her with shock at the entire mistreatment of our table. When one of our friends chose to order a beer, Kayla (our server) blatantly, flat-out told her we do not serve beer here of any kind. At that point I go up to the bar area and ask a bartender if I could please speak to their manager. He kindly walked me over and waited until I met with their manager. When I did he introduced himself as Mike (which I later found out that he had lied and his name was, in fact, Darrel). When I told him about our service he gave us free drinks and again...they were sugar and water. By this point, our server Kayla came in an obnoxious and aggressive strut with our checks. Assuming the manager had spoken to her at this point, she goes on with her aggressive attitude on her excuses and faulty explanations of why the food and drinks were so bad and directly called us liars on the subject of the time it took for our food to come out. Finishing her rant, she attempted to start a verbal and physical altercation while yelling/clapping her hands and even putting her hand up to our faces as if to nearly hit us. Never in my entire life have I or my friends been treated in such a disrespectful manner. I left telling Darrel (the manager) that we should not have to pay for our so called "food" aka cold grease. He repeatedly defended her lack of service and her aggressive physical/verbal altercation toward us. He went on to tell me how we lied about how long the food took as I repeated to him "but our food was cold" about 3 times. Anyone in the food industry knows that if your food is not hot or fresh, you have the right to send it back. He knew very well that the food had been cold so ended up taking our orders off the checks and we walked out absolutely embarrassed, disrespected and astounded at the lack of courtesy and service held not just by Cayla and Darrel but the entire staff there. The only person who had properly serviced the entire night was the single bartender of a brief one minute to ask him if I could speak to his manager. When I later on read reviews I read so many of the same things. I would not trust anyone their to handle my food, just based off of their hostile behavior toward their customers and their food and service was worse than McDonalds...I lie to you not and will be warning anyone who even considers entering...
Read moreWe booked P.J. Whelihan’s to host a team dinner for 50 of our girls and their families, following our travel lacrosse tournament. Initially, we worked with the event manager, Claudia, to discuss details including the pricing, menu and space availability. She was extremely helpful, responsive and happy to have our group at the restaurant. She answered all my questions along the way. As the event grew closer, I confirmed all details with the restaurant manager, Joe, who was very friendly and accommodating. The night of the dinner we were warmly welcomed by Abby and Mikaela, our servers. Joe was also there helping to manage the event when we arrived. Abby explained all the details about the buffet, drinks, etc. The food came out on time and it was delicious! For our group we chose the MVP package which included non-alcoholic beverages, choice of 3 different sandwiches (we chose Buffalo chicken, chicken cob and pulled pork), Caesar salad, chips, rolls and butter and we added chicken fingers and fries to the package. The pricing was very fair considering the amount and quality of the food. In addition, the food was replenished consistently and there was plenty for all. We had a guest with a gluten allergy and Abby happily provided a GF menu with many options. She communicated with me during the entire evening and made sure everything was going smoothly. Mikaela handled all the beverage requests at the bar and everyone was happy with the quick and pleasant service. We were so fortunate to be located in the pub room, which is a private room that holds 50+ guests, with ample seating and its own bar. Everyone loved the room setup. It was perfect for our group and we all had a great time! If we’re ever back in the area, we WILL be coming to...
Read moreThe food and beer were amazing. We love the $2.50 Miller High Life special they have all the time. We ordered the quesadillas today and they were delicious. Very fresh tasting, and the sides were perfect. We also ordered a basket of the PJ fries, basically old bay seasoning with a cheese sauce. They are very good. We also ordered the honey hot wings and they were perfect. Perfectly cooked, good amount of meat, and even though they don't come with a lot of blue cheese all you have to do is ask for more. I would also ask for a side of sauce, they were a little dry and we like our wings wet.
The deck out back is so relaxing with a bunch of Tv's to watch all the games. The bar stools and the high table seats are very uncomfortable, but the regular tables are nice.
The staff were all amazing as usual. We like it more every time we are here. We like the Blue Bell location A LOT more than the Willow Grove location. Service is 100x's better. We even left the Willow Grove location last week because we sat there for 20 minutes without our server coming back to get us more beer.
Visited again tonight on the way home from a soccer game. Service was excellent, but our food wasn't so great. The quesadillas were good but they hardly give you any sides. See my pic. I ordered the chipotle steak tacos and they were not good. Very small tacos and there was zero chipotle on them. They actually tasted sweet. Very disappointing. My wife ordered the brisquet burger and said she would not get it again. My son was the only one that like his honey bbq boneless wings. We had to order two because they only offer the boneless wings as an appetizer. We still like it here, just not what we...
