Jefe's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Wichita Falls

Customer service was decent from time my order was taken over the phone, young lady was sweet when she came out to get my order info and payment at pickup. Menu online is showing incorrect prices, my $10.99 plate was $11.99 on the receipt, then I was charged $1.00 extra for spinach, the plate was hot but definitely not worth $12.99. I also ordered a side of guacamole and was charged $2.99 for a 2oz cup, I could’ve bought a whole avocado for that price. Order was received with a huge bag of chips and salsa that were cold and then I ordered a lemonade priced at $3. I didn’t receive my lemonade and when I realized it I was already on the highway back to Dallas. I called them and asked them to void to which the young lady advised the manager said they could not. Ms.Cami came on the line and was very nice however advised she couldn’t just void the $3 but that I could come anytime to get a free drink after I told her I don’t reside here. Asked her if she could void the card and I could give my card info over the phone to have it manually put in to which she said she couldn’t, I asked her if I went back I could just get my $3 in cash and she’s advised she would need my card info unfortunately. It wasn’t until I mentioned not to worry about it and that I would just leave a negative review that the tuned changed and I was offered to come pick up $3 cash via a text. My review is based not on customer service as it is not the managers fault or the young lady who forgot the drink but because food is overpriced and definitely not worth it especially when they cannot void a simple $3 drink from the ticket. 10/10 would not recommend, I’m sure there is better quality food and affordable priced...

I got there for lunch, and in no less than two places on the door it says please wait to be seated. Only one customer in the place and two waitresses are in the back talking...I finally had to walk closer to the kitchen so they could see me and seat me. After the rest of my party arrived (three of us total)...we sat awhile after they figured out what they wanted...I finally walked over by the kitchen to get someone's attention again. When she (Ashley) came out and gave me a bit of an attitude. Asked if I needed something...I said we needed to order...to which she responded she was giving us time to figure out what we wanted and asked if we were ready yet (??). Ordered...jefes special burn the vegetables. Took a bit to get our food...when my drink sat empty for awhile someone from our party got tired of waiting and picked it up and brought it to them...and they said to take it back and they would come get it...seems like both waitresses there had a bad attitude. Food comes... vegetables NOT well done. When a member of our party asked for a drink refill, the second waitress that brought the food said that she can see everything we need, that she'll bring it. She filled the single glass, and nothing else on the table, to include empty salsa containers. Salsa and drinks sit empty way too long. Save the trouble, and go to Carlitos in Burk...much better service and a lot...

I rarely give low ratings because I realize that sometimes the service can be off or the servers having a bad day & that doesn't mean the restaurant is bad, but in this case, I & my friends had a really awful time & the service was terrible. I ordered a frozen margarita as it was still happy hour when we arrived. It came relatively quickly but it had a really weird, off flavor. I had a feeling that it wouldn't get any better if I got another one, so I just sent it back. I was having a Restless Leg Syndrome attack & wasn't very hungry so decided to go walk around in the parking lot. I had time to walk to Braums & back and then ended up falling asleep in the car waiting for my friends because it took them so long to get their check & have the issues they had with it straightened out. I'd guess it was over 45 minutes from the time they asked for the check until they were able to leave. And the waitstaff was apparently rude to them as well. As they are an easy going group, it must have been pretty bad to get them as riled up as they were by the time they got to the car!

I will say that I did not actually eat the food there (other than the chips they put on the table. My friends said the food was ok but the experience/fiasco with the check overshadowed everything else. My advice is have plenty of time to kill if...
