Pat's Drive Inn — Restaurant in Wichita Falls

We stopped for lunch in Wichita Falls, TX yesterday. We don't mind going to the Mom & Pop places. In fact, we prefer that sometimes instead of the chain restaurants. This one is very small but it was a rainy day and past lunch time about 2:00 pm so the place was not busy. They close at 3:00 on Saturday. My brother had a cheeseburger and I had the chicken fried steak finger basket. Staff was very friendly. Food was good. I really liked the French fries. I believe they were hand cut. Everyone at Pat’s drive inn is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere is a that of an inviting mom&pop restaurant that you’d go to for good food. Newsflash: this IS the restaurant you go to for good food! The food is made fresh, and there is care in the preparation. I have a cheeseburger with tots and a (Blue Bell) milkshake. DELICIOUS! The food is cooked to order so nothing sits under a heat lamp for any longer than to wait for an order to be completed. I order a medium double hamburger, forget the cheese and rabbit food, along with an order of handcut French fries. In my opinion, it is the best burger joint in Wichita Falls. Unlike some other hamburger places, you will not find and fillers or binders in the meat products from this place.
