Carnitas Morelia — Restaurant in Wichita

First time trying this place out & it was on point. Guy that welcomes you is super friendly, He speaks Spanish and English. I got a few pounds to go, that’s right you can buy the carnitas by the pound which I think was $13.99 or so. I didn’t get a receipt so not sure as we had added a few other things. The sauces were soooo good and it comes with tortillas & pico. All you need is to do is build your tacos 🌮 There are a few different types of canitas; carnitas just meat, carnitas mix and another which I do not remember. We tried both and my fav was just the meat although both were good. I got a steak quesadilla which was a hit with all of us, not bad for $5 addition. It’s a hole in the wall worth trying. Carnitas are good but when you place a order to go and you know how much the pound is plus taxes the owner does not specify that he charges 1 to 2 dollars more per i guess pound to carry out. I have never heard this before until 2 weeks ago. I bought 6 lbs and I knew more or less it would be $83.00. Then my daughter placed another order the next day for 7Lbs and was charged $121.00. Dude over charged my daughter 10.00 for that reason. I know times are tough but its not right to over charge people. I will never go there again or recommend that place. How many people has he ripped off through out the years....

These are the best carnitas in Wichita! Amazing hole-in-the-wall, a true gem. We love to order meat by the pound and make our own tacos, loaded with all the fixings. The owner is very passionate about the food and culture. He said it takes about 6 hours everyday to prepare the carnitas. This has become my go-to place to satisfy my cravings.
