Emperor's Japanese Grill — Restaurant in Wichita

Fried rice was good. Dumplings only deep fried. Not steamed or skillet fried. They tasted like a deep fat fryer. No thanks. I ordered hibachi beef. My beef came looking like.. crock pot boiled beef. Nothing hibachi about it. I wonder if anyone knows what a hibachi grill is? When i ordered the hibachi beef i did not expect a generous serving of fried rice. Nothing on the menu says its served with rice. The menu is always with a glare on it and i can barely read it. Anyway.. im allergic to eggs so i cant eat their fried rice. Staff didnt care and didnt offer to replace my dish. I didnt sense the staff caring about much more than quickly boxing up fried rice for to-go order. lotsa folks [seem to] come for that. Great. Our 2 meals, 2 drinks and 6 overly deep fried dumplings were over $28. What? Hey the dipping sauces were good. And the boiled beef was .. ok. I just put lotsa sauce on it. Like i did that time i was in Japan. The squash and mushrooms in a brown corn starch sauce was ok to taste ... even if nothing like hibachi style. I "thought" I couldn't possibly have more love for this restaurant than I already have. I've been a customer for years. Today blew me away❣️ I had the privilege of introducing my almost 88-yo friend to Emperor's Japanese Grill. Not only was the food & the service exceptional the staff treated my friend like a queen. The owner came to check on us, making sure everything exceeded our expectations. She even made sure we got out safely my friend uses a walker. Both of us were all smiles & we thoroughly loved our (her) "food adventure" (as she lovingly calls our new experiences.) ♡♡ Side note: I can't adequately thank the beautiful soul at Emperor's for the care & respect she showed to my friend. I called in a order for my family at 8pm I ordered 3 hibachi Beef and 2 kids Lo mein and 1 kids sweet n sour chicken. I got home and I was missing 2 hibachi beef so I called at 8:38p no answer I called back again no answer 8:44p a man answered and I told him I was missing 2 orders and he told me told Me he read the order back and said I only ordered one. I said my family is trying to eat dinner so I need 2 come get 2 more meals and he said he is closed and cannot fix my order. I said you close at 9pm?
