Livingston's Cafe is (and has been) an excellent place to eat for many years in Wichita. If I were asked what is the best aspect of eating at Livingston's, I'd say that there are at least three. It's a toss-up between great food, service and value!

I've eaten here for several decades, although the name used to be Jeannie's Dinner. The food has always been delicious with all of the best aspects of both a home-town ambience and people who really care about service and quality!

Today, my wife and I ate breakfast at Livingston's at about 9:15. The service was quick and everything about our order was correct. I had their Bob's Breakfast skillet and my wife had two eggs with sausage plus French toast. Everything was like "baby bear's porridge"...just right! Our server, Claire, was friendly and very attentive...she took care of everything we needed from multiple refills of hot coffee to take-home containers at the end!

You can find fancier, more expensive places to have breakfast, but you won't do better than...

Stopped by Livingston's today for breakfast. I have actually been here recently, but didn't want to do a review on the food I ate that day. It was biscuits and gravy, and the picture wasn't appealing so I didn't want to say anything about it. But today I had the skillet. A definite improvement for my last meal. I honestly really liked the potatoes for some reason on my skillet that came on a plate. Lol. Livingston's is ok. I don't get the hype. Better than IHOP or anywhere like that I guess. I'll just leave it at this, every table there had someone 70+ years old seated at it. I guess it's reminiscent of the golden days. The food they serve. Nostalgia Maybe???

P.S. they did give me a free piece of pie with my breakfast. I didn't take a picture of it because I took it to-go, and it fell in the car. It was delicious to say the least. I'll give it up to Livingstons...

We’ve tried to go here twice because the reviews are so great, but likely will not try again. The first time they were busy and super full, we waited for about 10-15 mins and weren’t acknowledged at all so went somewhere else. Totally fine, we understand people get busy and that’s just how it is! So we decided to try them again this morning since we figured they’d be less busy on a Monday. It’s a seat-yourself place so we walked in and found a table but then immediately one of the wait staff said “Someone is going to be sitting there” in kind of a rude way with no additional context or even eye contact. Just thought it was odd since it’s a seat yourself type of place and we didn’t feel welcome at all so we went to Egg Cetera in old town instead and are super glad because they...

I ordered the country fried steak, with eggs and fried potatoes. It was all very delicious. I always order my eggs scrambled very very soft and not alot of restaurants get them right, but Livingstons generally makes them perfect every time. The service is usually pretty good, this time was no exception, except I didn't get re-fills on my water as needed. I've also tried the Bobs skillet there as well which is also good. I've tried the cheeseburger soup which was fair, but lacked seasoning. I added lots of salt and pepper. I need to try some of the lunch options next go round. Enjoy your eating adventures😋

I have been to the livingston's on 21st many times. And enjoy it for what it is. Today I finally had the opportunity to hit the other one. A smaller location with a likewise smaller pie case. Not to worry DH chocolate pie was available but no apple for our teen (she was in school she will never know!) Our food was fine. Pancakes eggs and sausage (can't go wrong) egg salad and a side salad (really just iceberg lettus but hey). We enjoyed the photos on the wall. Waitstaff was all very nice and will be back! Open breakfast and lunch l, when in doubt get the pancakes.
