This little local "mom & pop shop" just serves bierocks and only has a drive thru window (literally). Their bierocks are always fresh and stuffed full of all the goodness a bierock should be! This is the place a Wichita local, like myself, will send you to for the best bierocks in town! Not only are they super tasty, they're also a very generous size and only $3.50 - $4.00 each! They make them with or without cheese and have a ham & cheese version too. You can preorder their veggie stuffed ones - which are absolutely delicious, especially with cheese. There's a "Meal Deal" for just an additional $1.75 (to the cost of your bierock), that includes a bag of chips, a pickle spear, and a 20 oz fountain drink. They also have sides of potato salad and baked beans for just around a $1 each.
Be sure to go early because they close at 6 pm M-F and at 3 pm on Saturdays. I like to go here for lunch most days, but sometimes I place a preorder for an evening family meal that I'll pick up on my way home from work.
Furthermore, whenever I go here, I like to leave them a tip because the lil' ol' lady that works the window (and probably makes the bierocks too) is always so appreciative of...
Read moreIn Wichita, bierocks are kinda a big thing. It definitely should be on your list to try if you're not familiar with them! And M&M have been around a lifetime, literally. Simple, but hearty, meat (beef) filled dough pockets, with cabbage onions etc, and you can have it with cheese or not. I choose cheese. Probably the original hot pocket, and much better! They are a German staple, and that's why it's such a "Wichita thing". They are decent sized. I ordered the combo, which is the bierock, lay's chips, drink, and a pickle. Would have been plenty for a meal, but I had to try their baked beans so I ordered those too. And boy I'm glad I did! They are worth the visit alone if you love baked beans as much as me! They have little pieces of beef and onions throughout. Wonderful! Recommend it if your visiting town or even a local who hasn't eaten here yet. It's not the prettiest building, don't let that detour you. The easiest way to tell if they are open, is the "open" painted sign you can see if it's out from the street. The only thing I wish is they were open later, but bierocks are the perfect lunch anyways so it makes sense. The staff has...
Read moreI called to place an order and the woman that answered the phone was very rude and asked me "what do you want" After deciding I wasn't going to order there and that I would go out west, I decided to call back and talk to the manager to make a complaint about the woman who answered the phone. When I got handed to the manager she was on her cell phone disputing card transactions on her PERSONAL account and wouldn't talk to me. I had to talk loudly into the phone to get her to respond. When I told her about the rudeness of her employee she brushed it off and was as equally rude as the woman I first talked to. I will NEVER go to this place. The people out on West 13th were very nice when I called and their selection is twice as big. Chicken, Philly, ham, original etc. DO NOT WASTE...
