I've gone to this Starbucks every day for a few months. I got tired of the 20 minute wait time AFTER my preorder, using the app, three days in a row at the 21st and maize. I drive thru ordered my usual drink of dark roast and heavy cream and was asked at the window if they could sub the Pike's instead. Unless I wanted to wait, of course. It was 5:35am and I'm on my way to work so I choose to sub the Pike's still using a reward. I drove 5 more minutes to work and sat down to drink my coffee and as I took a drink, I tasted chemicals. I moved quickly to the trash can and almost threw up it was so bad. With the lid on I didn't notice a smell until I took it off. It was horrible and was glad I didn't swallow it. I called the store and they were mildly apologetic offering me a free coffee the next day when I came in. That won't cut it for me. I'm not saying I won't go back but it's been five days and I've been coffee free.
I'm sure they just forgot to rinse the sanitizer out of the machine before my coffee was made and I'm positive it was NOT intentional. But someone else may not have been so lucky. I'm cutting my losses. I'm understanding to a point but just can't trust things not made by myself.

Read moreI've always had to grit my teeth a bit to buy Starbucks. The brand is just so much hype and so little substance while generally staffed and frequented by superficial dinks. But today I found one I will never under any circumstances return to. When I pulled my mask down to my chin to order the manager(?) behind the counter insisted I pulled it up or I would have to leave. When I asked if I could pull it down to order, she insisted they would still be able to hear me just fine with it up. When I asked if there was dining in the facility, she said mask could only be down when one is "actively eating or drinking". They were was rude and honestly a little hysterical. It is as though some people live for those little opportunities to flex the littlest bit of power and be confrontational. That is not the type of person that should be in the customer service business. Leave it to Starbucks to have staff or managers like that. They're all about their image and don't know how to actually provide...

I ordered my two drinks on the app as they said they were ready I walked into Starbucks to get my drinks and they were not ready. They then helped three people ahead of me who ordered after me, and got their drinks first... I asked politely if they were making it because as we know we are all human and make mistakes. The employees were rude, rolled their eyes at me and began to make my first drink, then helped two more guests, then started to make my second drink but did it very slowly and made sure to let me know they were annoyed with me... Frankly they should've never acted this way towards me and I will never be back to this location. They need to hire more polite people before I'll ever be back to this location.
