So glad there is finally a tearoom back in Wichita! The atmosphere and ambiance is beautiful and lovely. When the weather cools off, the patio will be a wonderful location to have tea because they have set it up so nicely. Being on a tea tour to various states this summer, I can confirm that the food here is just as delicious as any other deluxe tea experience in other cities, like Seattle and Washington, DC. The price is on the high side. Paid the same at the Ritz-Carlton in DC, in fact! But, there could be improvements (and this is what I've noticed at other tea rooms, not just French Tearoom). Please offer a variety of food that is different in texture and flavor, and not just bread heavy. Biggest downer - no chocolate items. If I'm paying $60+pp, there should be a chocolate tart, cookie, brownie, truffle or small mousse cup in there somewhere; maybe even several. Sorbet or cheesecake textures can also be good alternatives. Also, some people don't like fruity desserts. There just needs to be a variety so everyone gets something they like. Going all in with berry flavors on every dessert leaves those who don't like berries with nothing to eat. Final note - this place is not rambunctious child-friendly or for anyone requiring ADA-friendly facilities. It's a converted, 2-story home with a lot of steps and fragile china everywhere. Definitely no room for strollers inside. So, just be aware and leave the kids at home if they can't sit still for a...
Read moreI recently just visited this place and I was super excited since it was my first time visiting and experiencing something like this. On of my friends bought this place to my attention and I just had to come and try it out. All I have to say from the moment you walk in, to every moment after was a wonderful experience. My friends and I had trouble choosing from their wonderful choices of teas so one of the lady's offered us to get a sample of different choices of tea (5 teas I believe) all aroma from the teas smelled really nice my favorite was a vanilla chi with salted Carmel and cream. They brought out a tomato soup that was delicious. One of my friends is allergic to cinnamon and they switch one of the dessert out for her very nice of then to do that. Then they brought out the savory snacks and the dessert. I loved that everything was small, It was very filling. My favorite savory was the roasted chicken and cranberry croissant. The scones with strawberry jam and cream. The desserts were all delicious I had trouble choosing which one I liked most. Most likely we will be going back again hopefully by spring we would like to experience an outdoor tea gathering in the garden area. From the staff to the delicious treats and the aroma of the tea. Everything felt magical in a way. Here's...
Read moreThe best birthday I've ever had, and it’s all thanks to TFT!
Ria and the entire staff at this charming French tearoom made every guest feel not only welcome but celebrated. Their warmth, liveliness, and care created the most magical atmosphere I could have dreamed of. The decor was stunning, full of whimsical charm and thoughtful details (the fun hats were such a delightful touch!). Plenty of photo ops everywhere!
Truly, this was the best birthday party I’ve ever had. Nothing will ever top it. From the peaceful outdoor space to the heartfelt activity of writing letters at the end, every moment felt special and full of meaning.
The teas were divine, masterfully blended, rich in flavor, and selected with such personal care. Ria even helped us try something new, and not a single item on the menu disappointed. Every bite was exquisite. Our group had special dietary needs, and communicating with TFT over email was very easy and comfortable. They accommodated and curated their veggie menu just for us.
I left feeling full, joyful, and genuinely at peace. I'm still glowing from the experience, and I already can’t wait to return. Ria is a beautiful soul, and TFT is a treasure.
10/10. Absolutely...
