Ugh, this is a hard one to review. Our first experience trying Angelo's was getting their delicious pizza for take out. It was amazing! The second time we actually ate at the restaurant and it was during the pandemic! Everything was incredible. Angelo himself was there making sure everything ran smoothly.... Guests were accommodated, didn't wait too long, and were served delicious, fresh food. There was only outdoor dining with limited seating but he ensured we all had a pleasant experience. I ended up ordering one of the specials which was a fish dish but when it came out it tasted overcooked and not very fresh. Angelo took it upon himself to go back and make me a custom dish which was absolutely delicious! I've never, ever experienced this at any other restaurant. Flash forward to today...
We had a reason to go out to dinner to celebrate so I chose Angelo's. He was not there today, but no big deal. The waitress was kind and friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine which happened to be on special on Mondays and included a free appetizer. Winning! My son got the lasagna, my fiance ordered the 2003 pizza, and again...I ordered the fish special of the day which was halibut with veggies and a side caesar salad. The lasagna was delicious as always. The pizza was also very good. The salad was alright but the romaine lettuce tasted like it was the butt or end of the head of lettuce so it was a bit bitter. No big deal... Apparently something happened with the fish plate they were making me so it had to be made again. When I got my dish, the fish was delicious but the veggies were close to being raw. Not very cooked at all. Again, the fish was good so I was pretty satisfied with my dish even though I didn't really want the vegetables at that point. Flash forward to an hour after getting home...(PSA: it's going to get a bit graphic now)
We have all now been stuck on the toilet since coming home. Not sure if it was the vegetables, lettuce, or what (only thing we all ate a little of cuz I made them all try my food! Lol) but our stomachs are not happy.
I really want to love this place and give them 5 stars but will be apprehensive to get anything other than their pizza from now on. Giving them 4 stars based on our first...
Read moreI love, love, love this place! My husband goes to weekly meetings here and heâs not huge fan on Italian food/pizza, but guess what âI AM.â His loss, my gain!!!!!! I am soâŠ.. glad he skips out because then I get to enjoy his lunch. So below is a picture of my latest lunch, it is awesome! As a mom of 8 kiddos I am constantly trying to watch what I eat, so carbs and starch are kinda my enemies right now hitting 40 years old. (Girls-you know what I mean) I have been eating a lot of salads lately and doing portion control to help cut back on my calorie intake. Eating salads isnât always the funnest thing to do, but when I get salads from Angeloâs I always know I am going to be in love with my salad. Now, for all you out there I havenât just had the salads, I have also eaten there many other times and each time is fabulous. I love, love, love their Tomato Basil soups, as well. It is so thick and creamy, with the right amount of herbs and spices. I could totally take a bath in it. I actually dream of it! They have other great items on the menu, like the calzones and red sauce pastas. Whatever you choose youâll be happy with I promise. Great people, clean atmosphere and exceptional food!!! Thank you Angeloâs for the wonderful foos. Next time my husband comes in to a meeting on Thursday, put a side of Tomato Basil soup on the side or any of your others and thank you for putting up with my husband. Just remember, you have a super fan waiting at home for her...
Read moreThe last time I had dinner here back in August 2022, it was honestly the best Italian food I have had in a really long time. Considering I am Italian and from New York, we know good food but tonight it was the complete opposite and I am bummed to have spent money here and won't be back. The eggplant dish I ate a few months ago was NOT the same dish I had tonight. Not even close. The two pizzas we ordered were completely soggy and the one pizza said prosciutto but it was clearly ham, the appetizer special of the scallops had bacon or so we assumed it was bacon could have broken a tooth it was so hard it was not edible. For 2 scallops it was $21! It being a special the server failed to mention the prices, but had NO clue scallops even cost that much anywhere. If the entire appetizer was edible, it would have been fine but literally ate 2 scallops for $21! So for a glass of wine, a cocktail, two pizzas, the 2 pieces of scallops appetizer, and the eggplant appetizer the total came to $104 for 2 adults and two kids to eat dinner. The only thing we were ok with were the drinks and the waters werent even refilled the entire meal. Oh and when asked about the eggplant appetizer changing from a few months ago, they said they didn't know. Sad. We won't be back again. Once was a favorite but...
