I called 3xs...1st time I was lied to and told the phone # was NOT china wok. I again called the phone # from google. The same person answered, and bc I was told by the person that the # I called was not China wok, i apologized for dialing the wrong #.
I called 20 mins later and the same person answered and instead of just saying "hello" (like the 1st 2 xs I called) the person said "hello china wok.." When i said that i wanted to place a phone order, i was told "we're closed we close early today. Sorry bye."
I work close to this restaurant: so I decided to drive there: I pull into the parking lot and see the "open" sign. I walk in, place my oder and told the front desk teenage boy about what happened. I was told"i'll look into it."
As i waited for my food, my curiosity got the best of me. The phone # worked just fine and I realized it was the teenage boy who answered the times that I called.
Your food is great but i will NOT be back bc of this experience. I work at the gym close to this restaurant. My co workers and I go to lunch and call in orders quite a bit. When you all were out of chicken earlier in the week, I shouldve taken it as a sign NOT to come back.
I strongly urge you all to have staff that can properly answer the phone in a business like manner. When I called the person just said "hello..." and NOT lie to your customers saying the the restaurant is closed at 230 in the afternoon on a Saturday. You will lose business this way and I will be sure to pass along this experience to my co workers NOT to order from you all bc your employees cannot even answer the...
Read moreWe were in the area in late afternoon. We decided to give No. 1 Chinese a try. I’m glad we did. We waited about 10 minutes for a “Happy Family.” We could see the food being prepared behind the counter with a deep fryer and wok.
One other party was dining in the small eat in area. Another gentleman was also waiting for his takeout order.
Our order was still hot when we got home about 20” later. The rice was excellent: moist and a generous serving. The main dish was plentiful; we had enough for four servings for two people.
It has been our experience that Chinese restaurants have stacks of paper menus. I’ve wondered about that for pricing reasons. So I was a little surprised at the $2 increase from the printed menu and the price we paid.
We will definitely be back. We were welcomed and our business was...
Read moreThe woman who took my order was rude as can be. No sense of urgency or respect for my time. It was literally 15 minutes before they even started making my food. She was more interested in her cell phone and talking to a co-worker then providing service. They did have the AC on but since the back door to the kitchen was wide open it was very hot inside. I paid with a credit card and added a dollar tip which I am 90% sure she put in her pocket instead of the jar. I only saw this from my peripheral vision and wasn't paying that much attention. The lunch special came with tea and soup both of which I had to repeatedly asked for. I usually don't leave reviews but I wish somebody would have warned me about this place. The food was mediocre at best and the crackers that came with the soup were stale....
