My food tasted fine. But generous portions? Hardly. The pick two entrees were 2 half entrees, barely. The cole slaw side seemed like less than half of a side. I did enjoy my sauteed shrimp, but gave the tuna to my husband, who reports it "unexceptional ... Less than average." He might have said otherwise had it been a full-sized entree, but maybe not. I supplemented the meager meal with a half portion of vegetables, some avocado toast and nuts with dried fruit, and that's how we made up for the tiny sized entrees (maybe pick two entrees is supposed to mean two half entrees?) and less than half sized side. As he pointed out, a full portion of cole slaw wouldn't cost very much. I've ruled out Uncle Russ' for a dinner for two, but might possibly try a single entree for myself some time when I'm alone, just to see if it would satisfy me, since my appetite is not all that big. I understand, shrink-flation is a thing these days. But really, a third of a serving...

Fried SoftShell Crab Sandwich = 5* tasty and really filled that craving for something fun and new.

I've been working near Russ for years and the food he makes is always good. My go-to is the pick-two with Oysters, Scallops, Pickles, and Puppies. His breading batter is top tier; you don't even need dipping sauce. Then you try the house lime-caper tartar and red pepper aioli and change your mind; everything needs these. The beer is local craft, the seafood is local fresh, and the fish-man himself is a hoot to hang out with.

The only issue I ever had was under-done hush-puppies. Soon after starting to eat Russ called me at my office, asked how the food was, made me a double order of pups and delivered them to my desk in person. He must have realized it in restrospect and made it right without even receiving a complaint. My next order is going to be the Ribbit-Wings.

Owner told me fish was fresh catch of Day in fact it was 3 days old I know this because i called Saturday & was told they had 1 cat fish the same cat fish was there Monday when I finally got there I didn't buy because didn't look fresh what I did buy turned out to be rotten ,meat was soft & part of tail on 2 fish was green I had to freeze it because of stink to keep in same state as when I bought it I took back 2 days later he was angry grabbed fish threw in trash can kept arguing at me in front of 2 girl workers who helped him argue at me I think he put money back on charge card than he threw my credit card across the counter it landed in the floor told me never to come back & tell 25 of my friends the same thing worse experience ever I rate...
