This review is from my recent experience and individual results may vary. Family came in town from Pittsburgh for Christmas and wanted a "real" sub, apparently they lack what we have in this area. Being a Sunday our selections were somewhat limited. We chose to go with Hoby's although I've had a less than stellar experience the last time I ate there. We order five whole (14") subs. Two cold cut, one pizza rolla and two cheesesteaks. The cold cut subs were standard fare, decent meat portion and a little smaller than expected, fresh roll. However, the pizza rolla was almost burnt on the outside while all the inside ingredients were cold. The cheese was not melted and generally not so appetizing. The cheesesteaks on the other hand, they were something that I have never experienced in all my days. My brother ordered the regular Hoby's cheesesteak with fried onions and I ordered the south philly with fried onions as well. When we finally got our food an hour and almost $60 later the cheesesteaks were almost half onions and half meat. It almost seemed they count on people loving the hell outta onions so they could thin out the meat portions. The reason they did get three stars is that they did replace the three hot subs. We decided to go with cold subs as they seemed to be decent. They showed up in what seemed like ten minutes. The replacement, while was decent of management, won't have me ordering there...
   Read moreOn Tuesday 6/24/25 I arrived to pick up my order placed and paid for on DoorDash. Upon arrival a hand written closed sign was placed on the door. The time was 9:28 pm, and according to the times, they were not going to close until 10. The man who greeted me at the door who clearly worked there could not have been more rude. I simply said that I had an order for pick up which he did a very heavy sigh and then started lying and gaslighting me. Including that they were closed and they had no orders. Then proceeded to go check for my name, which he never came back to answer me instead I had to walk up to him again to check. Which he immediately went ahead and said we had no orders again, so I deserved no answer I suppose in this case? He was extremely rude to me, telling me I must have placed the order after 9, which was incorrect as it was placed at 8:56. Then when I mentioned I didn’t appreciate the attitude, he just said “well that’s your problem I guess”. According to some of the recent reviews maybe I’m glad I didn’t end up with a terrible...
   Read moreSo very disappointed!! First things first my sub was missing from a $60+ order! THEN the meat that was on the fries was BURNT! when you pay that much you expect for your food to be made correctly. I used to order from here ALLLL THE TIME! I don't know what happened but even one of the workers totally agreed with the meat not being up to par, how people can run a business and then not fix a mistake that was on their end...that blows my mind .. any restaurants I've worked in we always made sure our customers were happy especially when it was something that clearly was a in-house mistake... He's saying to call doordash and get credits... Man I wanted my food...that I paid for... Human to human who wouldn't be upset about their food not being made how they requested... The nacho fries would have been perfect if the meat didn't taste like the grill itself... I don't know if they were busy for what but that was NOT okay at all...
