The Social Speakeasy is amazing. We have been trying to get over there & finally had a night we could visit. We love the cool, moody atmosphere & the decor. It’s very relaxed & fun. The staff - from the owners to the waitress to the bartender to the Chef - were exceptional. Very friendly & knowledgeable. They were absolutely on point with their recommendations & so helpful. The food was delicious & flavorful. We had the feta appetizer with naan bread. It was so creamy & matched the crispy naan bread perfectly. My husband & I both had the sea bass entree. It was fantastic! I wanted to eat it all up, but wanted to take my time to savor it at the same time. The fish was incredibly fresh & delicate with a wonderful crispy top. The curry rice with coconut milk sauce was the perfect addition to the delicate flavor of the fish. Adding the lime broccolini gave it a wonderful crunch & brightness. We tried two desserts - the chocolate mousse & the lavender crème brûlée. Both were delicious. The brûlée was very light with just the right amount of lavender balanced with vanilla. The mousse was smooth & creamy with excellent dark chocolate richness. My husband had The Compromise & a Manhattan to drink. Both were excellent. The Compromise was extremely unique & very good. I had the Watermelon-Basil martini & the Cucumber martini made with Grey Goose vodka instead of gin. Both were light & refreshing, too. They have a very good selection of liquor & wine with some unique cocktails. We will definitely be back! Everyone in the area should go visit. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot say enough about this place! I drove almost 2 hours to come visit a friend in the area for the weekend, and we came to brunch here before my drive back. Let me tell you… I would drive the 2 hours just to meet her for brunch! The drinks are unique and absolutely delicious. The bartenders are truly masters in their craft. The husband/wife chef duo are truly inspirational. Their dishes are innovative and the flavors are out of this world! I had the Crab Cake Benny, and it was the best I’ve ever had. The hollandaise sauce was to die for and their crab cakes cannot be topped! This is a place you have to visit for a fabulous atmosphere with perfectly crafted drinks and Michelin Star worthy food!

Starting with the unexpected - the food is amazing! I mean high end restaurant amazing, in a speakeasy! We had the Chilean seabass which had an unexpected fusion of lime, coconut and curry that was excellent. The offer Chef Austin’s Chef and Rancher ( former Tris chef) beef in the filet steak. The bar tender made outstanding drinks ( martinis, Manhattan and a drink called “the compromise”). The waitstaff was attentive and professional. We were warmly greased by the owners. We had live jazz music on our Friday night visit after dinner. Great vibe that we’ve been looking for in this area for a while. Definitely will be back.

My wife made reservations for 4 via OpenTable and when we arrived the hostess said that no tables were available for us. We could try to sit at the bar or on two couches with a coffee table in front of them. We chose to sit at the couches. A short while after sitting down the hostess came back and asked if she could add 2 people to our group. My wife moved to the other couch with our friends and I saw that there would be no room for me on the other couch as well. I didn't want to sit on a couch with 2 strangers so we told the hostess no. We were seated for at least 15 minutes before a server came to the table and that's only because my wife asked the hostess to get someone to come over. We ordered food and drinks. Our friend's drinks came to the table at least 10 minutes before our drinks arrived. The food was brought to the table but we had no plates or napkins. Those had to be brought to the table as well. The guy that brought the food started moving my personal items that were on the table and didn't say a word to me or ask if he could touch my items. The waitress said that she would bring a pitcher of water to the table and that never happened. She also only checked on the table once after taking our initial order. We had to wave down one of the other servers to get another round of drinks for the table and guess what happened??? The drinks didn't come out at the same time again. The only thing that made the night decent was the musical entertainment. We have seen Tati at a couple of other places and enjoyed her singing. I'm on the fence as to give this place another try or just totally forget about it. As it is now I will definitely not be recommending this...

We visited last night and were impressed at first—the atmosphere is beautiful, like stepping back into the 1920s, with some guests even dressed in Charleston outfits. The live music added a great touch.

Unfortunately, the service was a complete disappointment. Our waiter didn’t seem to know how to serve properly. He poured regular water into our sparkling water, and when we asked him not to, his response was, “ohhh, it was just a little bit 🤷🏽‍♀️.” Our entrées were brought out while we were still eating appetizers, then taken back, and we ended up waiting over an hour for our main course. It felt less like dining out and more like being punished.

Looking around, other tables were clearly having the same issues—long waits and only two servers struggling to cover the entire restaurant. My husband even saw staff in the kitchen texting on their phones while guests were waiting for food. Our appetizer plates were never cleared, leaving a mess on the table.

The chef and waiter later came to apologize, but even with their encouragement to return, we left feeling this is not a place we’d come back to. It’s a shame because the concept and ambiance are fantastic, but the execution and service ruined...
