This was our first time trying Oscar’s. I’ve heard so much, all good, about the tasty food and awesome service so my husband and I decided to try it for an early dinner. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and were able to choose our own seating. The restaurant was clean and had a warm feeling. Our waiter Sean quickly came to the table and gave us phenomenal service throughout the evening. We had the deviled eggs as an appetizer which were tasty. For our entrees I had the pecan crusted flounder with rice and asparagus because many reviews raved about it. I definitely can see why. It came out nice and hot and the flavor was delicious. My husband had the Steak Au Poivre with garlic mash potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked as ordered and was way larger than we expected. My husband shared a piece with me and it was so juicy and moist I was able to cut it with my butter knife since I didn’t have a steak knife. Go hungry because the portion to me was large. Check the menu because it took us quite a while to choose because everything sounded so good. Sean was good about helping us make a decision based on our hunger level LOL. Our total cost even with wine and appetizer was cheaper than us going out for Tex-Méx. We will definitely...
Read moreI waited a long time to write this review after our first visit when I realized that this is the first one that is not five stars. I really didn't want to be that guy, but to be honest and fair to everyone out there, this was not a five-star meal. Don't get me wrong- this is a great little restaurant, with the nicest people in the world working there, and some outstanding items on the menu. My wife's fish tacos were amazing, as was the giant meatball. But, my double smashburger was halfway between a regular burger and a smashburgerl. It didn't have the caramelized edges of a true smashburger, so it was an overcooked pair of patties. Still very good, but not five stars. The fries...just not great. I requested extra crispy, they came out limp and greasy. I sent them back and they came out... limp and greasy. Okay. We had heard so much about the deviled eggs, one of my favorites, but they were sold out. Can't fault them for that - the place was hopping. We look forward to coming back and we think every kink that we experienced will be worked out and then some. The place has only been open a few weeks and it's already one of the best restaurants along 105. Thank you Oscar and staff, you are a welcome addition to the...
Read moreWe were welcomed when we walked in & were able to choose our own seats! It’s a small restaurant, but they did a great job spacing out the seating while providing as much seating as possible without making it feel cramped. The service was great & the food was even better. We ordered the cheese sticks for an appetizer.. they were the best cheese sticks I’ve EVER had. They’re more like logs.. not your average cheese sticks. Their homemade marinara, & ranch, were served with the cheese sticks. I ordered the ‘special of the day’, which was fish & chips. It was absolutely phenomenal. The fish was ultra tender & juicy (cooked to perfection), & the breading on it was perfect. My friend ordered the fig & goat cheese burger which was definitely different, but also delicious! I’d never think to put fig & goat cheese on a burger, but it works. The sweet potato fries were excellent as well. Can’t wait to return! I definitely recommend checking out this place. When I return, I’ll be trying their...
