Short Version- Food Wonderful, Employee was rude and I won't be returning.
Long Version for entertainment. Saturday Night July 12, After my own Hard Day I went to Subway. I wasted 30 seconds asking if I could get chicken salad on a footlong bun. I accepted it couldn't be done and got a Honey BBQ Chicken. After sorting my own I continued the order for the rest of my family. Having hearing challenges from my own 16 hour day, there was confusion surrounding my bread selection. I erroneously referred to the Italian loaves as white thankfully the employee educated me that Italian is the white bread. Clearly I was irritating, forcing a 3rd roll to be sliced as I was not super clear at the beginning. I was getting 3 sandwiches. I went on with my interruption of this person's day instead of stopping my order. I continued to pester the employee. On the white, oh gosh I'm sorry Italian, with toasted provolone I was told there was no way to ring up such a sandwich. Though other subway establishments have honored this request at a lower cost for bread and cheese I tried to be helpful and requested she charge me for a footlong veggie and we can just pretend it's a veggie without veggies and just cheese. Again I am sorry it was already well past my kids normal dinner hour and having been up since 4 I was fumbling through. Not phased, I continued to annoy the employee with my order. My son's sandwich was simple enough. My wife's more complicated I tried to remember and went through. Extra lettuce, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, tomato cucumber. She was kind enough to ask if I needed anything else. I looked at my wife's nearly finished sandwich and I realized I had forgotten the olives. Graciously the olives were placed after wasting another 4 seconds of Subway's time. I looked at my own topping, still not yet fully decided I wasted another 45 seconds debating on how I should top my sandwich. I am sorry that I did not arrive better prepared. I should backtrack to earlier..... The sandwiches were not yet assembled but the bread was cut. The employee had asked out loud, yet not addressing the question to me, "Why do people like this only come in at night?" and granted prior to that in the first 90 seconds of interaction It was clearly indicated I was interrupting the night by requesting sandwiches. I was challenging with my asking questions about my options. I'm sorry at that point the bread was cut and I couldn't in good conscience leave the loaves to be discarded. My wife and son were waiting for dinner after a long day for the lot of us. I am sorry I spent the next 7-10 minutes of this person's and the people behind me ordering sandwiches. If I had been better prepared I could have saved 2 minutes of inquiries and fumbling through my order. I could have saved Subway Vine Street 5 minutes if I just left when it was asked why people like me arrive at night, and went to one of the other 2 nearby subways. I am sorry that I didn't want to spend another 12 minutes of my own time (5 minutes commute, 7 minutes assembly) getting my sandwich from the Subway on Euclid. I am sorry I did not leave a 5 star review for the young man who served me the other 2 times in the past year or so I went here. I'm also sorry that while I normally leave a 20% tip at a minimum I for the 3rd time in my adult life left a 0% tip. I'm sorry a person like me wasted this person's evening. I just wanted to explain why it's people like me that are there at night at the end of a long day. I just wanted the comfort of a quick convenient cost effective meal for my wife and kid. I cannot return that additional 2 minutes it took to get through my questions the 7 to 10 minutes it took to complete my order. I'm sorry that the store manager may waste another 30-45 minutes of that employee's time explaining the finer points of customer service and the impact negative reviews have on business. I will say the sandwiches were perfectly prepared, absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. I will not however be returning when 2 other Subways are so...
Read moreWent in for an online order. The lady was immediately irritated I had walked in. I let her know I placed an online order and she said I don’t have an online order. I asked to verify the address was vine street to which she ignored. Got loud with me stating I have no online order! I asked her why she was so rude and she wouldn’t stop repeating she had no online order. So I paid for three sandwiches have the online receipt with the address on it and no food. Customer service here is horrible! All she had to do was be polite and if you don’t like people don’t work in...
Read moreHad a major issue with a manager when I called about our food being frozen. He was the worst human being ever swearing at me telling me it's not his problem. I wrote to corporate and received a call from the owner who told me that guy was fired and he apologized profusely to me. He then went on to offer to remake my food and drop it off himself. I appreciate the fact that he didn't make excuses for that man and handled it the way that was appropriate by letting him go and fixing my order. He definitely won my business...
