Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Wilmington

I have had issues with this store since I moved to my new location and this store became the closest that deliver to me. I never get my additional sauces that I ordered, pizza is cold. I get the same story every time. We don’t have drivers. Well, customer service stand point shut down delivery options (I seen them before) or call customers and let them know they have an option to pick up or cancel order. The main reason for delivery is so you do not have to go out. Don’t offer if you cannot deliver. Tonight, desperately needing something delivered (this is the only place that will deliver to me) I ordered at 6:35pm. My ordered moved right along to quality check at 6:50pm and then stopped. After an hour of no movement I called the store. I was told that I could pick it up and I stated if I had ability to do that then I would have. Then ,James, who later stated he was the manager stated a driver was coming back and my pizza would go out next. After 30 minutes no movement, I called again. James answered said my name and asked I hold. Placed me on hold two additional times until someone had to pick up. The guy try to put me on hold and I heard “I put that call back on hold. Oh wait no I didn’t. I can’t because she held so many times” and literally sat the phone down for 7 minutes. I could hear laughing and background noise and nobody EVER came back on the line. So I hung up and called back. Asked to speak to a manager that was highest I could get. James stated that would be himself. I told him at this point I do not want to food but a refund and my food never left the store. Sitting there. Surely Ice cold as usually and soggy. He kept trying to interrupt me saying the whole store has Covid and only two drivers and I told him that I’m patient. I under Staff shortage but call your customers and do not avoid the tough conversations like laying me down on the counter on the phone. We waited 2 hours with zero communication. Buyer beware. This store is poorly staffed (I know most are) but the staff that are working are extremely unprofessional. They are not in the business to provide service. Mostly kids. The franchise owner should be contacted at this point and offer training and stop delivering and only offer curbside....

Domino's Pizza should start including a knife with all of their pizzas. Because of the weak-willed workers there are unable to use a pizza slicer to cut entirely through a pizza. They have a giant knife behind the counter that is apparently there for show and is no longer used to slice entirely through the pizza. I was able to personally observe the red-haired gentleman behind the counter attempt to cut through a pizza and it was not something for the week of heart to watch. The amount of force that he put behind it seemed gargantuan but when I got home it was all for naught. Maybe the knife is just dull at the moment and they need to send it to get sharpened. But I think that this gentleman behind the counter was just given too much milk as a child. I would recommend not slicing the pizzas on top of giant stacks of cardboard boxes. It's probably the reason the pizzas are not being sliced correctly and it is also likely a health code violation.

The reason I had so much time to watch him slice pizzas other than mine is because they didn't even notice I was there. It seems to be kind of a trend that employs at restaurants no longer recognize that customers are arriving. I decided to just go grab my pizza on my own.

The manager of the store is extremely good at restocking the line because she was very diligently placing the tater tots into the tater tot holder. Her zombie-like focus is only seen in 12-year-old kids on Adderall. But she failed to recognize that someone was standing at the front waiting to get their freshly prepared pizza.

When I asked to get my pizza on my own, words seem to fail the red haired gentleman that was still slicing a pizza but I could tell by the xanned look on his face that he wasn't going to do anything if I walked out with the food...

I've seen a couple bad reviews for this place... and I gotta tell you, I can't figure it out! This Domino's is amazing! I love it. It's close to our house so we always choose this one... and I eat pizza like it's my job. Also, I like to eat Domino's because with the app you get points for each pizza and we got lots of free pizzas because of it. But anyway, back to the review.... I have been here many, many times and they always get our order right. The pizza is always cooked really nicely. The people at the window (I always use the pick up window) are always super nice. It's great! This is a great Domino's location. All these photos I posted are pizzas we've bought over the last year since we lived here... My daughter and I love the pan cheese pizza... and we usually get their lava cakes, which are dope. But anyways, check out that philly (1st photo)!! I'm telling you, this place is great.
