I called at 1PM for an order of 50 hot dogs for pick-up at 2:30PM (before their 3PM close). After the young man placed the phone down to discuss with staff, (sounded pretty quiet other than their voices), I was told no because they like to be cleaned up and gone by 3PM. I needed to call 24 hours in advance with such a large order! (50 hotdogs?) They were aware I was representing another small business, who supports and utilizes food vending many times annually for various events. Especially, one would think, coming back from COVID, a small business would even be willing to stay a bit late to make the extra business! (I wasn’t asking that thought!!) I told him I could go elsewhere, but really wanted to support them & was disappointed they could not accommodate an order of 50 hotdogs. (Hint, hint!) The young man said, “well that is disrespectful!” At which, I just ended the convo because I was not going to engage with such behavior & comments.
What happened to customer service with this generation? I, the paying customer, was the problem & he told me such?!?! Looking back, I should have questioned his work ethic and customer service skills upon that comment. Anyhow, all is well that ends well. I picked up hotdogs from Trolly stop & management there was an absolute blessing. She was so kind, accommodating, knew who I worked with and wanted to support! Plus, the were absolutely yummy!! I have been in the community for years & definitely stay loyal to those that come through in a pinch! We are in this together!
Extremely disappointed and will not give this place any future business, if this is how they treat their community. I wanted to review because I thought the owner should know business is not only being turned away, but their staff is disrespectful and rude to the customers. It would have been different if they were short staffed or didn’t have the hot dogs. I understand it’s hard right now. However, that was not the case! Plus, the treatment by this young man to me & his words. Not acceptable. Wilmington let’s support Wilmington! Small business together!! I hope this may be addressed & perhaps changed moving forward. After speaking with multiple people yesterday within the community, all agreed I should definitely leave a review so the business is aware and decide if this is proper representation of...

I am talking this place up as if it were some mystical hut of magic and mirth, but this place is just genuinely really good.
