Had a great lunch here. We were out shopping and decided to pop in. We had never eaten here before and we were very happy with the service, food, and prices. Our hostess was super nice and we were seated right away. The lunch menu was great. I had a chicken chimichanga, my wife had the taco / enchilada lunch and my daughter had a cheese quesadilla. All came out quickly and and was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was quite nice and I would highly recommend this place for lunch and look forward to going back again in the future.

I have always enjoyed this restaurant for atleast 15 years! Though this time the service was a little off. Had ask for my beer after ordering and did not revieve a child's lemonade . But they were nice enough to hold on to my own misplaced paper item that I forgot. Staff is always really nice no matter how busy they are or size of the party. Prefere it over almost all mexican/hispanic RESTRAUNTs in town. I had the pollo fundido; girlfriend had the chile relleno, and we also had a combo meal split with some our party

Having lunch at our favorite place. Having an Island margarita and my husband is having a Premium Margarita. We're having the Nachos La Costa and I'm having an island margaritas, they serve them in a large glass. My Husband likes the Cadillac Margarita. We come here often, sunday evenings is a good time. Helena is a very sweet lady.. Still the biggest and the best margaritas in Wilmington....!!! My glass is half empty before i took the picture. I'm adding some new pictures. Still the best margaritas in Wilmington!!!!

Our family was in this area and wanted to try a new venue. Typically we visit San Felipe, but I checked the reviews on google and they had excellent ratings.

The staff is friendly, but the food is lacking seasoning. The taco salad came out with only beef, lettuce, cheese and tomato.

No guacamole or sour cream as the description stated. I chose to eat it and not ask for correction. The shell tasted as if the oil used to fry it hadn’t been changed.

The disappointing thing to me is the cheese used. When dining in a Mexican restaurant, I love the Mexican cheese that is typically used, this cheese tasted like run of if the mill bagged grocery cheddar. The beef didn’t have much flavor either.

It may have been an off day when we visited, because I was shocked that the reviews were so great and the food was bland. I will stick to the restaurant we are used to, as we didn’t even finish our meals.

The service was excellent though and friendly, so I really hated to leave this review. I am sure it may have just been a random...

Not impressed, the painted over wall paper is peeling off the walls, the carpet was dirty with food mushed into it. The salsa tasted like watered down marinara, the queso wasn't queso at all, it was orange beer cheese. I got shrimp tacos that were the most Caucasian version possible and the shrimp were so over cooked it could have passed for burnt calamari and it was not deveined so the flavor was awful. The salad came on a 150° plate and was basically baked lettuce by the time it reached the table. Unhappy with everything so far I ordered chicken chimichangas because that's impossible to screw up but I was surprised by a watery, rancid first bite. Idk how this place has customers, I will not go back. Only gave 2 stars because our waitress didn't deserve the reflection of a...

LaCosta Mexican Restaurant is A Delightful Dining Experience

LaCosta Mexican Restaurant never disappoints! Every visit is a treat, and the Pollo a la Crema is simply divine. The chicken is always tender, smothered in a rich, creamy sauce that’s full of flavor—an absolute must-try for anyone who loves a comforting, satisfying dish.

Beyond the incredible food, the service is top-notch. The staff is incredibly kind and eager to please, making sure every guest feels welcome. They’re attentive without being intrusive, and my cup is always full—something that truly sets LaCosta apart.

If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves delicious, authentic Mexican food with warm hospitality, LaCosta is the place to go....
