Let me start by saying this is my 5th or 6th time having On Thyme but first time attempting a to-go order. It was unfortunately not the friendliest experience. I first attempted to call in the order and was asked to be placed on hold. I was on hold for just under 10 minutes before being hung up on. Since I was craving their shrimp I decided to just head over to place the order in person. It was busy but the line moved quickly. When it was my turn to order I let the cashier know before hand that I had an online coupon to use from the attractions book. I clicked “redeem” in front of her as the website directed to show her the unique code that pops up when using this option. She was unsure how to claim the coupon so she asked another woman who was working the grill line during the rush. The woman told me my coupon was not valid and that the attractions book needed to be printed out and that she didn’t have an option to enter any code. I didn’t have my attractions book with me but I explained that they have a mobile deal on the attractions book website. She told me she didn’t know of such coupon and I tried to explain but told her I was not sure how to redeem it on their end since it was not my business but I did know the coupon was valid. The woman answered “I know it’s not your business, it’s mine” and then had to make a phone call to confirm the validity of the deal their business is running. It was busy, I had already been hung up on and now I’m being hassled about a promotion their business offers with the $30 coupon book I purchased at a fundraiser. I did get a “sorry about that” when whoever was on the other end of the phone confirmed that they indeed did have a mobile deal but at this point I was really turned off at the whole experience. This place is so close to both my home and place of employment I’m sad this is what happened the first time I tired to dine out at On Thyme, an establishment I’ve dined IN at previously and enjoyed, but I would be lying if I said the vibe was the same for this take out experience. My order was $15.44 after the coupon and I paid with a $20 and told the young lady at the register I didn’t need change. She also offered an apology and was very kind throughout the whole process. As busy as it was my order didn’t take more than 20 minutes to come out. I wish it wasn’t such an awkward interaction the food was great. I’m still stinging over the business comment made by the…owner? Everyone has their off days or maybe this just isn’t the place to...

Food- absolutely fantastic! So many good flavors and choices. There wasn't one thing we didn't absolutely love. Even the grilled cheese my daughter got was great!
Outdoor patio- New tables and umbrellas for shade, perfect for enjoying the fine weather we have.
Staff- Very nice and helpful, correcting any issues we had quickly with no questions or issues! Thank you!
------ The okay-----
My daughter's kids meal was supposed to come with applesauce and a juice box. After we paid for the food (you pay when ordering) we weren't told about them being out of juice boxes so after awhile I went back inside and was told they were out of juice boxes then. - okay, no problem. They gave us a water bottle replacement and my daughter was happy.
After the food came her meal was missing an applesauce. When we saw one of the staff members come out I asked about it and was then told they were out. I asked for a coleslaw as a replacement and got it and again my daughter was happy.
-I would recommend letting customers know when ordering if you are out of items they are ordering instead of making us wonder. If I hadn't asked about both of these my daughter would not have gotten her drink or part of her meal. - just a courtesy reminder that might be helpful for you all.
----- The Bad----
They have a DJ for the patio and he clearly did not think about the fact that this was a Saturday during the day- at noon- not midnight. His songs he was playing had multiple curse words, sexual references (sexual healing played), multiple uses of a derogatory racial slur that starts with "N".
If I chose to go to the club at night I would understand and expect such music.- but if I am going to a restaurant that has a kids menu in the middle of the day with my family then I should not hear any of what I heard. I did mention something to one of the managers as well did another table of older adults and the DJ was made aware and began playing clean versions of his songs- the problem is, the DJ should not have had to be made aware- this is a restaurant that caters to families and noon on a Saturday. Please.... use some common sense next time or get a...
Read moreOn Thyme Restaurant offers a lively dining experience with bold personality from the moment you walk in. The décor strikes a perfect balance between modern and fun — think bright red chairs against sleek black walls, a playful neon moss-wall sign, and polished concrete floors that give it a fresh, urban vibe. The atmosphere is upbeat but still comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.
Service here is genuinely warm and attentive. You’re greeted right away, given the freedom to choose your seat, and order at the counter at your own pace. Even after sitting down, the friendly greeter checked in often, making sure everything was good without ever feeling intrusive. The whole team seemed happy to be there — and it shows.
Now, the food: Philly Egg Rolls — a standout! Crispy, golden perfection with a generous amount of flavorful pork inside. Definitely a must-try and something we’d order again. OMG Fish Sandwich — we didn’t ask what kind of fish it was, and it turned out to taste like catfish, which isn’t really our preference. Still, the sandwich was well-prepared, and the fries alongside were spot-on — crisp, golden, and perfectly seasoned. Boneless Wings — tasty overall, though we were hoping for a bit more flavor in the batter. The Thai sauce was mild, while another guest tried the hot honey and said it had a much better kick and flavor balance. It’s also worth noting that the restaurant seems to be expanding — some construction is happening, likely to make room for more guests, which is a good sign given how much potential this place has.
Bottom line: Excellent service, vibrant atmosphere, and some really solid menu items. With just a few tweaks to flavor profiles and variety, On Thyme could easily be a five-star spot. Definitely worth a visit — and we’ll be back for those...
