Underwhelming food for the price we paid. We ordered two open-face breakfast sandwiches. One was goat cheese and jelly and although delicious, it was very small for the price we paid. The other sandwich was avocado and it was terribly salty and had too much lemon on it. The coffee was good. Nevertheless, the service was fantastic, even though we had to ask for our water twice before they remembered to bring it out to us. I have tried the desserts on separate occasions and they are yummy. The atmosphere inside is awesome. I’d be willing to give it another try.

No I did not notify anyone that our meal was not satisfactory. Nobody came to check on us, or to ask how our meal was. I have worked at restaurants, so I can appreciate the importance of alerting staff about an unsatisfactory meal specially at a small locally-owned business. But we had an important appointment. We only budgeted enough time to sit and have a meal, not to have our meal remade. In the end, it was more important to move on with our day rather than have our meal fixed. Hopefully that makes sense :) also, excuse me for leaving a “mediocre” review. I tried to be honest and succinct, I do not review businesses on google for compensation. I do it to help other patrons understand what to expect from my own, subjective point of view. So to make it clear I HAVE NO PERSONAL STAKE IN REVIEWING THIS RESTAURANT! We used Spoonfed for our wedding catering and they manned our bar at Maven Monroe. They were absolutely wonderful. The team was extremely professional- the bartender, in particular, was a big hit with our guests just for being so sweet and fun!

Finding catering for a smaller wedding (40 guests) was a headache- the minimums we were expected to meet or requirements we had to follow were outrageous if we could get any response at all. Spoonfed, however, answered me back quickly and listened to our needs and worked with us to get there. Susan was honest with expectations and never tried to up-sell.

After an excellent tasting at their location in Lumina Commons, we built a wonderful southern coastal menu within a reasonable budget for 40 people. The shrimp and grits and biscuits were insanely good. They worked with us as vegetarians to make recipe accommodations and they also went above and beyond to help us get the most bang for our buck with our bar. They offered several options, including just the bartender and garnish which is what we chose (so we supplied all of the alcohol ourselves).

Susan remained consistent throughout the whole process, answering emails promptly and providing information in detail for me to plan appropriately.

The food was superb on the day and the display was way above my expectations. It looked beautiful and our buffet dinner went over without a hitch with everyone raving about the food.

Susan and her team at Spoonfed were always very warm and kind to me and my wife which was particularly important as an LGBT couple. I can’t recommend them...

You know you chose the right caterer when people are still commenting on how amazing the wedding food was weeks later! We're all from Arizona and relied on photos and reviews from their website for our destination beach wedding in North Carolina. They did not fail us, as the customer service, high quality of food, and flexibility to work with our style came through. Susan was fantastic to work with. She understood our food and beverage vision through many e-mails and phone calls and magically brought it all to life from the hors d' oeuvres and cocktail pairings, to the food stations and the create your own salad bar, to the cakeiscles and cheesecake bites! She patiently answered hundreds of my questions and assured me they would take care of everything as I had requested. Our compliments to the Chefs, Pastry Chef, Service Staff, Bartender, Catering Representative and all those behind the scene. Our guests commented on how wonderful and polite the entire staff was. All caterers are not created equal, but you will not be disappointed with Spoonfed Catering, Highly recommend. So glad we chose this caterer for our wedding! One happy...
