Flo's Kitchen — Restaurant in Wilson

Normally I grab breakfast at Flos bc it has been good in the past!!!! I get the same thing every week bacon egg and cheese biscuit or a cup of grits w/ bacon egg and cheese scrambled inside. I have paid 3 different prices for the same exact cup of grits w/ bacon egg and cheese, it has not been the same price. So I stopped bc their prices were inconsistent. Then I go today after not being there for weeks and ordered the same. When I got my food, the cup was a little over half filled for $7.00. I don’t mind paying for anything I ask for but please make sure it’s right. The manager says she apologize and to bring the food back to replace it and give me my $7 back. I get there and she says I’m not giving you your money back and slightly aggressively handed me another breakfast cup. Keep in mind this was in a 5 min span from their business to my job. She then says it’s tampered (which I did stir it up to see if there was more food at the bottom, I did not eat any) and whoever picked up the order should’ve checked it first. The manager was rude, she lied to me and needless to say she asked me to text her personal phone to send her pictures? I have never had any manager to ask me for any pictures and my personal number. Shocking!!!! However I will not be back. My coworkers food was the same and she was unpleased as well with the managers behavior and demeanor. Also she took my original order inside the restaurant from another staff member of Flos, looked over it I assume, brought back out to my car, and took the lid off it and said you can have this back as well otherwise it’ll be thrown away. WHY WOULD I WANT THAT FOOD BACK WHEN ITS BEEN PASSED OFF FROM PERSON TO PERSON AND ITS STILL COVID OUT? The fact she took it back inside the restaurant not knowing if I had covid or not was nasty, very nasty!!! That one cup could have very well had covid all over it inside the restaurant that they would have been spreading....

Well we live and travel on our motorhome. We watch alot of traveling shows on TV and we had seen Flo's Kitchen on NC Weekend and thought that it would be a place we would like to try. We are originally from Norfolk Va area , so we come home in April thru May to do our dr appts. This yr our plan was to go to Nashville Tn. So we planned to stop and stayed last night in Wilson, got up this morning early and went to get us some biscuits. The girl taking orders outside was so sweet. Great personality. The line hadn't got bad yet so she said, so it didn't take long to get our order. Welllll, we were a little disappointed. I was raised in NC. These biscuits were big yes, but they were very tough. I guess they have to be to hold all they stuff in them. I got a cheese biscit & a cheese biscuit turned into a hobo biscuit. The cheese on the plain cheese biscuit wasn't melted but just a little. I wouldn't call it crispy but crusty (hard). We were told they were right out of the oven (new). The cheese didn't stretch like the lady said in the video like I've seen our country cheese biscuits do. Cheese won't melted thru. It was the right cheese, just not melted. If it had stayed in oven anymore would have been to dark. Would have been good with some butter brushed on it maybe. Maybe these were right for the area and what people in area grew up with. I'm from northeast NC. Butter 'em up some on outside and make 'em a little greasy. Lol Add a touch of Paula Dean...

Very small place. Not a lot of parking. Drive Thru is always long and in the street but the wait time is short. They have someone outside taking orders. I've been here 3 times in the last 3 years and still I feel rushed. Today I called to see if they were still serving breakfast. They were and I told the man I wanted to do a call in order but I didn't know what kind of plates they had. I asked if they had a plate with some bacon and eggs. He asked how did I like my eggs, grits or tater tots, gravy or butter, and biscuit or toast......He never answered my question! He acted like I was a bother and rushed through my order....which I never ordered.. He just ordered it for me! I had a question about it 1st. When I got my food, it was incorrect. I didn't want butter in my grits and the eggs had cheese. He never mentioned cheese during ordering. The bacon and grits were delish. I think they forget that everyone that comes through may not have been there before. It'll be another long time before I...
