I’m not trying to be a ‘Karen,’ and I genuinely understand the difficulties food service workers face on a daily basis. Having worked nearly every position in the restaurant industry, I get it, and truly appreciate their efforts.

With that said, this place doesn’t deserve your money. Management has really let this place go, and I have a hard time believing that the franchise owner(s) play any part in the operation of this place. If they do, it’s quite puzzling as to how they have made it as far as they have.

Having little option given how late it was, we decided to give the failing chain another go. We quickly remembered why it had been years since we had been here. 15 minutes to be greeted at the table. Another 10 on drinks. 45 min for the food. Entrees well before appetizer. Comically cold food (we almost felt as if we were being pranked- we’ve truly never had anything like this before- I mean nearly refrigerator cold). Several dirty dishes. Overall, a very unpleasant experience.

I can say, the appetizer was removed, prior to the check being presented, which gave an indication that someone knows how to handle things. (So I can give credit where deserved!)

While waiting to be served, we were looking at the menu reminiscing on our days in college, and making plans to return for ‘old times sake’ next week for the big game. Those plans were short lived, as we put the final nail in this coffin.

Spend your well earned money on some of our great locally owned restaurants around town! Forget this place!

Oh what can I say about Applebee's in Winchester? Well take a pause and imagine the dreadful experience we encountered...

We were passing through with the kids and decided to drop in for supper. We selected Applebee's over fast food which was the worst mistake! Our waitress was ridiculously slow and timing was horrid. We ordered the Whiskey burgers and asked for extra BBQ sauce. Our waitress didn't bring it for another 10 minutes. She instead took another table's order and  proceeded to serve drinks to a second table. When she passed by I asked for more bbq a second time. Lazily our waitress retorted "yeah I'm getting to it". When our waitress would bring the food/drinks to the table  she would place it on the end or middle of the table. She didn't even give it to the person who ordered it. I mean at least fast food restaurants hand you your food! To make this unsatisfactory meal worse, we sat with empty drinks while we finished eating. Our waitress was not professional, wore see through leggings, and was lackadaisical. Promptness was absent throughout the entire visit. The food was lacking quality. The burgers had a quarter size smeared area of bbq and were just dry without much flavor. The broccoli was undercooked. Our daughter didn't like the yogurt as she complained it had lumps in it. The sauce on my hot wings were dry not wet-n-saucey. To say the least, we made a quick exit to find somewhere else for dessert!

Applebee's it has been years since I had tasted your cuisine and was very much disappointed in the quality of food and service. In my opinion this is a strike out and certainly a do not...

AWFUL! Servers may be nice but the does not compensate the quality of food or the service. I have been here multiple times with my husband and each time i have to wait for over an hour to be served my food. The boneless wings are small and you better order the appetizer before you even get to the restaurant b/c you'll wait for over and hour on that as well. The worst is when they serve the appetizer @ the same time as your entree, I mean come on! it is an appetizer for a reason. P.S. A Well Done Steak is not supposed to be RED! NOT even mentioning the carside to go i thought that would be better but no. They get the wrong order every time not even to mention the wait time. i called in the order @3:20 and they said 20 min, well i was there @4 b/c i know they take time making the order and when i arrived i still had to wait 20 extra minutes!!! I ordered a ceaser salad and what i received was mostly croutons no lettuce (the dressing was poured on) I let them know, they said the cook was new. Next experience i ordered pasta and received steak regardless i went back and had to wait over 40 minutes for my order. I always give restaurants second chances on service but for the same mistakes to keep being made is not excusable and the wait time is preposterous. Don't expect your bill to be comped either b/c they wont even offer. If i could rate the restaurant any...
