Birrieria El Zarape 2 (Charleston) — Restaurant in Winchester

Ordered the Birria quesadilla and a Mexican coke. About $12. Fair price, great food. Quesadilla was stuffed with Birria and cheese and came with a side of consume. Looked like a special tortilla. Wasn't the standard flour or corn type. I liked how the cheese was crispified around the edges. Birria was tender. Consume had deep meaty flavor.

Super clean, great atmosphere, gentle Spanish music, hand painted murals. I especially liked the tables. Large slabs thickly laquered wood.

Service was awesome too. Daniella was super friendly and told me about the menu and their specialty. Food came out quick and hot on compostable paper plates. I practiced my Spanish and learned they are from Jalisco, Mexico.

This place is a hidden gem! A diamond in the rough literally. The cashier/ server Daniella is so sweet & patient. She gave us recommendations & brought out their sauce flavors. We got chicken tortillas & tacos & birria ramen. The food was soooo good! It tastes delicious so much flavor. Me & my husband have found our new favorite Mexican Food Restaurant! So I saw this place on Instagram and they were promoting there valentine's taco special. The taco are places in a heart shaped container.

But as goof I didn't listen that you had to order it and it was for the 14th. However, they are super nice and helped me navigate their extensive menu.

Boy am I glad I came here the food is absolutely incredible! The quesabirria tacos were delicious. Nachonirria was a hit but the Asada fries were loaded and delicious!
